I would have rated this steamer a top 5 stars 9 months ago.

I LOVE t-fal ! I have been so impressed by the quality and longevity of their products, I replaced nearly all my kitchen appliances, pots and pans to t-fal items. Until now, I have never been unhappy with any of my purchases.

Unfortunately, the timer suddenly ceased to work last month. Nothing was broken off, and the care of the product has been gentle and appropriate. We used the steamer about two times a week, rarely more. While the unit still steams well , the fact that I have lost this very essential function is a disappointment and renders the steamer handicapped, not to mention the food items that have been overcooked recently. I very much relied on that timer to calculate food preparation and done times.

I will attempt to contact the company and see what their response will be, as certainly I expect T-Fal to do the right thing and either replace the timer/and or the unit itself. I will update the review when I reach a resolution.

Until then: 3 stars, T-fal.

Worked great!! It worked better then I thought it would. Clean up was really easy. Just be sure to wear oven mitts as the steam is hot!!

I've had this steamer for 5 months now. It works great. It heats up super quick and cooks food evenly. Cleaning is easy. I either put all the pieces (except the base) in the dishwasher or I just rinse them with water. One thing to keep in mind is that when cooking with two tiers, the top tier cooks a bit slower than the lower tier. Also, in order to keep it new looking, use a soft cloth or a soft sponge when cleaning. The steamer is made out of plastic and it can be scratched if a rougher sponge is used. I gave it a 5-star and totally recommend it.

This is the second t-fal I have owned (I dropped the first one and broke it), they work perfect, for just about anything, and are simple to use.

It is nice and solid, works great, easy to clean up.

The only concern is that it is of oval shape instead of round. So most of my plates won't fit in.

I like the design and engineering of your steamer as shown. However, I am in the market to purchase a steamer that has a larger volume capacity. I like the present steamer's height but I need a larger diameter --- 18 inches in diameter as well as 3 compartments high. Is there such a steamer on the market? I think that if you do, there could be increased sales especially to vegetarian, but even more so to Chinese &/or oriental cooks and housewives.

I can't rate it, I am still waiting for delivery, your one to two weeks isn't true. I ordered this item 18 days ago, and you still have not shipped.
