The timer didn't shut off the fryer.. so it's not worth $10 extra comparing to FA7000002.

I'm not as confident using this product as I was my Delonghi Safely Fryer.

Both have their pluses and being able to throw 90% of this item in the dishwasher is one of them. I felt very confident and safe using my Delonghi but not with the EZ Clean. I think they should go back to the drawing board and make this alittle more stable but the idea is great. My Delonghi was stinking up my house and the only really dishwashable part was the lid. The non stick finish was a joke but I felt safe with the easy to lower basket with the lid shut. EZ Clean does save money on oil as it's smaller (just the right size for a family of 4) and I can drain the oil into the oil bowl that's included AFTER it cools down (about 2 hrs). This is a nice item but you have to be careful with it around children as you do any hot item. Mine are little Indians (no offence against Indians) and I try and keep them out of the kitchen when I'm cooking with this item. I did have to increase the time to cook up to another minute on my items to get them as crisp as I did my Delonghi.

Hope this helps with your decision. I'd buy it again if they upgraded it.

This is a great little fryer. It's easy to use, and SO EASY to clean. Drain the oil into the included plastic container and put everything in the dishwasher. What a breeze! It is small - but we only cook for two people so that doesn't bother us. The timer is pretty much useless, but for the price it was a great purchase.

This fryer leaked the second time we used it and the temperature NEVER got to the temperature set on the dial. It was about 20 degrees off. It never got hotter that 360. I thought it would be great to have the drain feature but it's not great if it leaks. If you buy one, keep the box and packaging material! We took ours back and got a simple old fashioned model.

Yes, the size is smaller than some, but the ease of straining the oil and cleanup is well worth it. Plus, it's pretty quick to cook, so two batches is not a big deal. Love it!

I ONLY HAVE THIS ITEM A SHORT TIME. SO I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL DEVELOP A LEAK AS I SAW IN ANOTHER REVIEW. BUT, MY UNIT WORKS VERY NICELY SO FAR. THE WHOLE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS FRYER IS HOW EASY IT IS TO CLEAN WITHOUT TOUCHING THE OIL IN ANY WAY. THE WHOLE THING COMES APART IN TEN SECONDS, GOES INTO THE DISHWASHER AND COMES OUT LIKE NEW.IT AUTOMATICALLY FILTERS AND DRAINS THE OIL. YOU END UP WITH A TUPPERWARE TYPE CONTAINER WITH PRETTY CLEAN OIL TO USE AGAIN AND AGAIN. THE UNIT HOWEVER IS PRETTY SMALL. FOR EXAMPLE IT MAKES ABOUT TWO NICE PORTIONS OF FRENCH FRIES AT A TIME.

I enjoy using this fryer it is so easy to clean, and to assemble. I fried fies, eggplants, dumplings, and shrimps and they all came out crispy. As I do not have a ventilation in my kitchen, I love that the house does not smell of oil, and a small fog in the house.

My only chagrin is that it is small, and does not permit a large quantity to be fried at once.

We have really enjoyed being able to have quick meals with little or no cleanup. The entire unit breaks dowm and all goes into the dishwasher except the heating element which never gets dirty. I love this deep fryer!

The size is nice for 2 people. Cleaning is easy. Seems to be a defect in that the unit has to sit just right on the base or it will not go on and off by itself. You have to juggle it to be sure it is seated just right to get it to come back on after the oil is heated up and then you have to be real careful that it stays seated just right.

I had only used my fryer a handful of times before I noticed a significant decrease in heat. It was nowhere near the temperature indicated on the dial and I would have to increase the heat frequently just to keep cooking at a lower than desired heat. By the end of the second or third batch I have the dial maxed and it's barely adequate to get the job done. The troubleshooting guide in the manual made no mention of this particular issue. I've gone back to frying in a pan and shopping around for another deep fryer.

The only reason I'm not rating this a 1 is because of the convenient features; filtering system /oil container, dishwasher safe parts. Great additions however the entire unit seems rather flimsy, especially the removable handle. The bowl is also quite small. I could fit close to double the amount per batch in my old fryer.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed.
