We make a lot of soups and had been using a stainless steel soup pot. But we found that if you have some pasta in your soup and are re-heating it, you must watch closely and stir often or the pasta will stick to the bottom of the pot. This is a real pain to clean so we invested in this non-stick pot just in case. It is a smaller diameter than we were used to and a bit taller but we find it to be just great. My research showed that the T-Fal lining is better than some of the others which tend to flake off.

I have owned my T-fal stock pot for 2 years and I love it so much I purchased 3 more for my daughtes and daughter-in-law. It is heavy metal and has a very good non-stick finish. It is a slightly smaller diameter than most dutch oven pans that come with a set so it fits well on the large burner of a stove. It is deep enough to make that big pot of soup, stew, noodles, etc and not boil over. The glass lid has a steam hole which is great for simmering. Recommend to every cook. You,ll wonder what you ever did without it.

I purchased this 8 quart T-Fal stock pot for my canning needs. I use it for salsa, jelly, etc. I have only used it for this one season, so I do not know how it will hold up in the long run, but so far I am very satisfied with its performance. I do not agree with the 2 star rating as being lightweight. I think it is a respectably heavy pot, and I love the see-through vented glass lid and the silicone handles. It's been about a year. I still like the pot, however, the non-stick coating shows signs of wear with little "dots" of the pan surface showing through on the bottom, even though I have used only coated or wooden utensils for stirring. This is disappointing as I cannot afford to replace a pot like this every year.

I bought this pot after spending $25 on a pot from Walmart that was large enough to make my chicken tettrazini in. That pot scorched my meal. I went online and found this one. I used it and it is and AWESOME cooking pot. Nothing sticks and clean up was easy. I will continue to reorder this type of cookware until I replace all of my current cookware.I highly recommend it.

The stock pot works great and the food does not stick. It's not too heavy. The only thing I would prefer differnet would be for it to be more wide than tall. I am 5'1" and it is hard on my shoulders to stir the food, plus I think the food would cook more evenly if it was a bit wider. However, I would recommend the pot.

This pot is just the right size for boiling pasta to avoid boil-overs. The non-stick surface is also great for one-pot meals...easy clean-up.

French made T-Fal cookware impressed me so much that I'd buy nothing but T-Fal. What the F happened??!! Made in China, light metal, cheap construction??!! This has to be fake because it's nothing like the T-Fal set my sister bought in Greece that's still in excellent shape today after heavy usage. If you value quality cookware, this ain't it. Oh T-Fal, what have you done?

T-Fal 8 Quart Stock Pot,
I purchased this product for a gift. The individual who received it has used it several times and is very satisfied. They prepare lots of soups, etc. and this stock pot is the ideal size for such endeavors.

I was worried about the cost and durability. I've lived with rather destructive people in the past, causing me to shy away from non-stick cookware. This pot has enabled my cooking. Things I was once reticent to make due to sticking and cleaning I just don't worry about any more. I cook up to 8 servings at a time and then just rinse and scrub lightly and I'm done. I don't miss that its too big for my dishwasher at all. It is a little tall--it swallows my wooden spoons whole, rendering stirring a bit scalding at times from steam. But that's not the pot's fault. I'd go t-fal again any day.
