I used my mothers old food press, colander, for years. Hers was a Wearever too but the quality of mine does not compare. Neither the press nor the pestle of the new version are shaped properly to ensure ease when pressing the food through and the design has changed. The newer version works okay, but I prefer the older versions design with the sturdy construction of the press and the cone shaped pestle; which helps prevent the food from coming over the top of the press.

The product is awesome. My family has been canning juice since I was a child. Now we can juice. I bought one for two other family members. It is just like the one that we had for years . I am glad company's still make this product. I will tell everyone about this product and where to by it. Thanks so much!!!!

What can I say except that this does exactly what it should. I no longer have to borrow my mother's food press to make blackberry jelly. Next year I'll make sure to make even more, since I won't be stuck doing it on a schedule.

My favorite thing about this food press is the width of the stand... it fits over my larger size bowls!

I remember my mom using one of these when she canned applesauce and grape juice, so when I started my canning adventure this year I picked up one of these. My biggest problem with this is that it is pretty small, so I could only process a little bit of food at a time which turned my applesauce and grape juice canning process into a two day event. There are also a lot of holes toward the top of the cone, but only a few at the bottom which seems counter intuitive, I had juice squirting out directly at me from the top holes, but it was failing to drain from the bottom. Next year I will find a better way.

I needed to purchase this to make catsup. It worked just fine, but my old one (belonged to my mother and is unfortunately in storage!) was larger and much sturdier. I had difficulty finding a small enough container for the sieve to fit over. When making large amounts of something, this just may be too small. Aside from that, it was as described and did work just fine.

I bought this item specifically to press muscadines to make jelly. It works perfectly. Before I was using cheesecloth...what a mess! This makes it so much easier to render the juice. It's sturdy and durable for this purpose.

I bought this rotary press so that I could can tomato sauce with the over abundance of tomatoes in my garden. It was easy to use and we were able to quickly press 12 pounds of tomatoes. My only issue is that it fits over a small bowl only. It makes it difficult to press large quantities of tomatoes and requires multiple empties into a larger bowl. It did lengthen the amount of time overall that it would have taken had the base fit over a larger bowl.

My mother-in-law gave me one like this years ago.
I have been looking for one for my children for years. This is exactly what I was looking for. The quality of the product was very good and should be able to be passed on to future generations.

Great for making applesauce although peels did get stuck in the bottom if too many cooked apple pieces were put into the press.
