I needed a device that gave the G1 an available audio port while charging via USB.

The device works as advertised, however noise bleeds through on the audio port giving you lots of background noise. This will work ok for my car but I can't imagine listening in a quiet setting and putting up with the background noise.

It works but when I listen to music, and have the charge/sync side plugged into a computer or a charger, I hear some background noise in my music. If the phone's music volume is low this becomes more noticeable. If I crank the phone volume way up, I can live with it.

Use case is to simultaneously charge and audio output. However, this usage causes the android Music Player to activate shuffle mode. This has been reported on android forums as well; possibly due to poorly shielded wiring inducing signal interference.
