this case is perfect for the g1!!! it snaps on tight, its attractive, and the buttons are easily accessible... Plus it comes with the screen protector and a pouch... also, its not as big and bulky given that the phone is already big. its a good look overall...

Great case. Couldn't fit better. Only thing though..pop out the protactive screen and buy the 10 pack of screen protectors from T-Mobile. The see through plastic face cover on this case makes the touch screen pretty unresponsive. It's easy to pop out though and this casing rocks otherwise.

Bought this to replace an earlier 'rubberized' cover whose coating started wearing down after several months of use. Chose this because of the colors; didn't disappoint in that regard. However after a week's worth of use, this case is already showing wear in its rubber coating. Moreover, the included screen protector adversely affects the touch sensitivity along the edges of my G1's screen, where it's difficult to get the top pulldown header bar to sweep down correctly, and impacts scroll bars in apps (like the browser) along the right edge. Fortunately it's easy to pop out the clear protector, but all in all this aspect and the lackluster durability of the rubber coating is sadly disappointing.

This case is definitely the best one available for the G1 at this time. It's sleek and rubberized, and lacks the hokey "belt clip" that other cases have. It allows for perfect access to my SD card, Camera, and Volume Control, and there's even a small microphone port. I ordered the blue case and the black case, and both are well made -- but where's the green case shown in the photo? Worthy of note, the blue case is darker than the one shown in the photo, and it looks much better in person.

Unlike some others that are available, this case snaps together cleanly and does not feel like it is made cheaply at the joints.

One star was subtracted because of the "touch-through hard case". That feature is merely a piece of cheaply made and cheaply adhered plastic that's connected to the rest of the case with hot glue. I recommend you do as I did, and pop that thing out right away. Just make sure you've got a good PET screen protector on your screen, and you'll be golden. The benefit to the PET protectors is that they're extremely resistant to abuse and they filter out UV rays so you can use your phone in the sun. Both Amazon and eBay sell these protectors, and they can be had cheap from mainland China or Hong Kong.

This is my second case cover for my G1 through Amazon and its no better, first based on the picture it looks like there are three parts, a front cover, a back cover and a cover near the buttons, I received only two. There aren't many color options so I bought the clear case(transparent) and here comes the worst part, the soft plastic is very susceptible to scratches and it had scratches and cracks when it arrived and the screen always looks dusty.

+ touch sensitivity is OK for checking mails, browsing and calling, I don't use Android games application.

can we expect more on a $3(excluding shipping) item?

i spent 10 dollars for the clear case when the phone came out and this one is not only better but much cheaper

I purchased this case immediately after the phone because I have a bad track history with them. I am quite the clutz and drop things all the time. This case has been awesome! It isn't slippery like most hard cases. The rubber coating really helps with that. It looks nice and snaps on easily. After just two months of use, I can already see how much damage I would have done to my phone. There are numerous scratches and dents but the case hasn't actually fallen apart. I am getting ready to buy this in multiple other colors. I would rather spend a few bucks on covers than pay a lot more for a new phone. I highly recommend this to everyone, whether you are gentle or rough with your phones.

Bottom most piece a lil thick, mking keys a lil bit difficult to hit. Also its in need of some designs

The case looked better than I expected! I love the sleekness and the sturdiness of it. If you're undecided on whether or not to get this case, wait no longer. It's the best case and the price IS NOT bad at all.

This is one of the best cases I've owned. Up until now I've always used leather cases so I was worried about buying a hard case but I must say I'm sold. This case fits like a glove and offers great protection. Couldn't be happier.
