4.0 out of 5 stars from Alana H. December 15, 2011
I love this phone! I have had it about 5 months now. This phone does not have a great camera, but it still has a camera that faces forward, which can be fun. I was impressed with the Android market and the apps it has, compared to the Apple apps. When I first received this phone, I was worried about not having a keypad to type on, but I quickly learned to love the myTouch's touchscreen. I do feel like this phone is overpriced though. I paid $150 with a new contract. My mom got a HTC that was free, and about the same quality. I believe that anyone who loves Androids and wants a new upgraded phone will absolutely love this phone! I sure do!

3.0 out of 5 stars Gingerbread? Camera? December 2, 2011
As a phone this model is more than adequate. As a camera it is a big disappointment with poor contrast, washed out images and very poor low-light qualities.

Don't bother with this phone (released in November 2010) if you are uncomfortable with the now outdated Froyo version of the android OS. After 13 months on the market and over 6 months of T-mobile promises, the Gingerbread OS update remains elusive for the vast majority of users.

1.0 out of 5 stars My first smartphone July 29, 2013
Over the past 2 years, two phones of this model died on me. That means I'm on my third phone of the same model. The first one died after getting an official update (yes, the one through the settings menu). The second one died spontaneously one night and wouldn't get past the startup screen.

I had to pay $20 for each replacement and spent hours upon hours recustomizing each phone to the way it was before, not knowing when it would die again.

Also, the battery life is horrible. At best, it lasts 10 hours if you don't touch it.

If that doesn't justify a 1-star review, I don't know what does.

I have had this phone for about 4 months. I find it is more than adequate for basic calling, texting, etc. My big problem is that this phone is that the camera turns on by itself and starts taking pictures in succession. For example I was in a meeting and someone said what's that noise?- phone was on my desk and hadn't been touched, but I ended up with about 10 photos of my office ceiling before I had to manually stop it from taking more photos. Also, the camera button on the lower right of my phone is very sensitive. It's annoying and from a search online, alot of people are having the same problem, but there appears to be no fixes for this issue. The speaker phone is also pretty bad. I can't use it because I've been told no one can hear me when I speak into it- voice is garbled and the listener has no idea what I'm saying. If I had the chance to buy this phone again, I probably wouldn't. oh, and also- the battery life on this phone is awful. It may not last a day on a charge, if you have wifi on and use it for what I consider to be regular usage of a couple of hours, the battery will drain very quickly. If I could give this phone 2 1/2 stars, I would.
