Marc Bolan and T.Rex Unchained 1972 vol. 2 is the perfect album for those who cant get enough of that T.Rex boogie rock!! Theres no female backup singers on this one!! These are great outtakes from the highly successful period of 1971 and 72 when Bolan was in his prime. Some of these songs sound like they should be on Electric Warrior and Slider albums! 1972 vol. 2 has a lot of blues influenced Bolan penned numbers with fantastic electric blues playing from Bolan. See this on "Work with Me," Just Like me(version 2),"Spaceball Boot" and "Ellie May." Marc Bolan's irrisistable mythic and insane lyrical gymnastics are quite evident on songs like "Meadows of the Sea" "Mr. Motion" and "Slider Blues." The one stand out track out of a chest of gems is "Bolans Blues" which completely recaptures the dirty electric groove and appeal of Electric Warrior and finds Marc at his most explicit!! If you think the best music of T.Rex can only be found on Warrior, Slider, and Tanx, its not true! Buy this and indulge in Marc Bolan and T.Rex's rock 'n' roll magic again!!
