Product Description

Style Name: 1-Cup, 100 Count Filters

T-Sac filter No.1 is for cups, mugs and glasses with up to two teaspoons of tea. Enjoy loose tea much more easily versus using a traditional tea infuser. Convenient for home, work and travel. T-Sac filters are great for the environment too, made with biodegradable, unbleached manila hemp. T-Sac is an all natural, chlorine-free, 100-percent biodegradable hemp sac for brewing loose teas. T-Sac can also brew single serve coffee (dependent on the grind).

Customer Reviews

I really recommend these for anyone who drinks loose tea.

These are nice tea bags, easy to fill and they work well without any tea leaves getting into the water.

These Size 1 bags are perfect for a single "serving" of tea.

I've been using these Tea Bags for years now. In the past I've always bought them from my neighborhood Peet's Coffee, but they only carry the larger size.

These Size 1 bags are perfect for a single "serving" of tea. For me, that means anywhere from one cup to a larger commuter tumbler.

I love good loose tea and I love having a variety to chose from. But I don't always have time to wait for a pot to steep and don't want to have to wash the teapot. If I'm drinking a lighter green tea, then there's no harm in letting it steep in my cup for a couple of hours. Sometimes I'll even refill it with hot water for a second use.

I've also never been a big fan of infusers. So these single serving filter bags are the perfect way to "roll 'ur own" and get just what you want.

The value is good, the quality is good, and the price is right.

EDIT: I'm updating this review, because the product codes for the various sized bags have been merged and all of the reviews are lumped in together. They're very different products though.

Size 1: We use these at home. My wife likes her tea a little weaker, so these are perfect for her. She drinks her tea from large tumblers, but this sized bag is still OK for her. For me, these bags really only work for a smaller cup.

Size 2: I use these at work where I drink from larger cups (12oz - 20oz). These hold a lot of tea, so they work fine for me.

Size 3: I accidentally bought an order of these once. Honestly, they're grotesquely large. These are big enough for a whole pot of tea. I personally don't have a use for them, but if you want to make pots of tea and don't have a proper teapot with a basket inside (or if you lose yours), then these would be the right size for you.

Regardless of the size, the quality and functionality is the same. These tea bags work great. They're perfect for lovers of loose leaf tea.

I switched from teabags to loose tea a few years back, and these T-sacs are indispensable. 4 teaspoons (or there abouts) of your favorite loose leaf tea in a decent size tea-pot. Add just off the boil water ad let brew. 10 minutes later you have a wonderful golden brown brew of perfection. Or at least you do if you backup the T-sac with good tea. I recommend Brooke Bond Taj Mahal, I buy it at my local Indian grocer, but you can get it here on Amazon. It's a very nice, and mild black tea that stands up on it's own, with lemon or milk, hot or cold, sweet or not.

However, the t-sac is absolutely the best companion. I have tried other tea filters and they are smaller and the paper they are made of is denser and seems to prevent a full brew or infusion of the tea. t-sac are larger allowing the tea room to expand as the water penetrates the leaves and carries the flavors away. The bag itself seems very good at allowing the brewing process to happen, and the result never fails to please.

Of course using a t-sac makes the use of loose leaf tea far easier, and clean-up is a breeze since you simply dispose of the used t-sac. No trying to gather all the leaves, no rinsing and rinsing just to clear the old leaves out. These are a definite buy for any tea lover.

I ordered these in the largest size after reading a review from another person who uses them for making cold brew coffee. I thought it was a fantastic idea so I ordered as well. Although they are made well, arrived lighteningly fast and the price was decent, they are intended for loose tea, not 1-1/2 cups of coarsely ground espresso. They held up well, but were way too small for that amount of product.
If on the other hand you're making a pot of tea and want to avoid a standard tea ball/strainer, order them, you won't be disappointed.

At last I've found a way to use loose tea leaves in a non-messy manner! T-Sacs are easy to fill, cling to the side of the cup or mug for quick removal, and there are no metal or plastic accessories to clean up. Custom tea bags with the best tasting tea. I highly recommend them!

There's been an issue with some other disposable tea filters leaving a taste to your tea - T - Sac doesn't. Also, after filling it with my tea, I just fold over and staple the top, it's simple like that. I haven't had any problems. These are rather small though, so I wouldn't recommend them for steeping in anything over 16 oz.

These T sacs are perfect for brewing pots of tea. I haven't had a filter yet that has broken or opened while brewing tea. It's a great investment for those who like pots of tea.

I bought these tea bags in the medium size so I could brew loose tea, and also so I could use them as the spice-packet when making stews, etc.

The size is ideal for large-leaf teas, such a chamomile, or coarse spices (such as dried chiles or bay leaves).

Where there is opportunity for improvement is in the closure of the bag. There is a flap integrated in the bag, but contents leak out easily. I've resorted to using an office stapler to seal the flap, and that seems to do the trick. I wish these were available with a drawstring or something, so I wouldn't feel goofy stapling ingredients in the kitchen.

But, overall, they are *very* sturdy bags, and they even withstand hours of simmering in the crock pot when slow cooking meats.
