Could be better, but not bad as it is,

This review is from: T-Sac Tea Filters - Size #3 (Housewares)
I bought these tea bags in the medium size so I could brew loose tea, and also so I could use them as the spice-packet when making stews, etc.The size is ideal for large-leaf teas, such a chamomile, or course spices (such as dried chiles or bay leaves). Where there is opportunity for improvement is in the closure of the bag. There is a flap integrated in the bag, but contents leak out easily. I've resorted to using an office stapler to seal the flap, and that seems to do the trick. I wish these were available with a drawstring or something, so I wouldn't feel goofy stapling ingredients in the kitchen. But overall, they are *very* sturdy bags, and they even withstand hours of simmering in the crock pot when slow cooking meats.

I bought some really yummy loose leaf tea from Teavana, and these bags worked great! I can brew up to 4 cups. These bags are so much better than the little wire balls, that get little tea leaves in your cup. Great buy!

T-Sacs for Coffee,
By Wendy S. Berry (New Canaan, CT United States) - See all my reviews

This review is from: T Sac Loose Leaf Tea Filters for up to 12 cup Teapots (100 filters)
I make cold-brewed coffee in a French press pot, steeping coarse-ground beans in cold water for 12 hours, then pressing the plunger to remove the grounds. This produces rich flavor with no bitterness or acidity, but I was frustrated by the grit that always managed to slip through the plunger screen. The Size 4 T-Sacs hold just enough coffee to brew an 8-cup pot. No more grit! Perfect, clear coffee every time! Very happy with this purchase.

T-sacs can be sealed closed with flat iron,

These are my favorite tea bags, principally because they can be sealed closed with a flat iron and work well with my travel mug. I use these T-sacs to make individualized coffee bags (grind coffee, 3 tbsp coffee per bag, seal closed with flat iron, store in air-tight container in frig). A fresh cup of coffee is as easy as boiling water and adding a coffee bag. When I couldn't find these T-sacs at our local store, I checked Amazon. The seller shipped quickly, the price was way better than the local store, and the order was accurate. I'm a happy customer.

Best Tea Filters,

Have tried others - this is the best. This is a top quality tea filter - doesn't tear open like other brands - that is now difficult to find in the 12 cup #4 size. Being that the bag is a little bigger, when opened, any tiny tea bits fall into the bag from your measuring spoon instead of on to your counter top. I find this to be the most convenient size; realize that you can adjust the amount of tea and use this size bag for ANY size tea pot.

I switched from teabags to loose tea a few years back, and these T-sacs are indispensable. 4 teaspoons (or there abouts) of your favorite loose leaf tea in a decent size tea-pot. Add just off the boil water ad let brew. 10 minutes later you have a wonderful golden brown brew of perfection. Or at least you do if you backup the T-sac with good tea. I recommend Brooke Bond Taj Mahal, I buy it at my local Indian grocer, but you can get it here on Amazon. It's a very nice, and mild black tea that stands up on it's own, with lemon or milk, hot or cold, sweet or not. However, the t-sac is absolutely the best companion. I have tried other tea filters and they are smaller and the paper they are made of is denser and seems to prevent a full brew or infusion of the tea. t-sac are larger allowing the tea room to expand as the water penetrates the leaves and carries the flavors away. The bag itself seems very good at allowing the brewing process to happen, and the result never fails to please. Of course using a t-sac makes the use of loose leaf tea far easier, and clean-up is a breeze since you simply dispose of the used t-sac. No trying to gather all the leaves, no rinsing and rinsing just to clear the old leaves out. These are a definite buy for any tea lover.

These T sacs are perfect for brewing pots of tea. I haven't had a filter yet that has broken or opened while brewing tea. It's a great investment for those who like pots of tea.

Bought these for some friends of mine who run a little coffee/tea shop. It works much better than a teaball and I like that it's portable. I wish there was a better way to close it though. Right now, we staple it shut which works perfectly fine.

These tea bags are great for individual servings for loose leaf teas but it would also work well to brew a small pot of tea. I will definitely restock once I run out.

These work great!,

The only other review I see does a disservice to this product. It functions like it should. Rating something that low because you don't like the packaging is ridiculous. I use these in my Keurig coffee brewer (with the k cup gizmo) and it works really well. Highly recommended!
