This is a really honest, funny, and all around great read of a woman navigating life as a grad student and military spouse of a deployed Marine. It references her experience with cross fit and how it instilled confidence and inner strength. Although this is a book written by a woman while in the midst of a deployment, it is not solely a book for military wives. It is truly a narrative of the struggles we all face in our late 20's and early 30's, trying to figure out who we really are, and learning not to give a crap about what everyone else thinks. Thera is vulnerable, honest, and without a doubt, Badass. She tells her story in a way that keeps you laughing throughout, and I honestly could not put it down. Would recommend to just about anyone (over the age of 18).
