I purchased the Taylor Wireless Weather Station with Anemometer on line and not directly from Taylor's site. At first, the unit seemed to work fine. I liked the appearance and found the setup to be reasonable. Unfortunately, after a few weeks, the anemometer no longer provided accurate readings. I contacted Taylor and they offered to send a replacement unit after I returned the original to them. They were friendly and efficient. Again, unfortunately, the replacement unit only functioned for a few weeks before giving erroneous temperature readings. Again Taylor replaced the unit, free of charge, and even paid the return shipping this time. The third unit had the same anemometer problems as the first unit had had. By this time I requested a refund. Taylor said they would not provide a refund because I had not purchased the original unit directly from them. Thus, I was stuck with a useless weather station. I would not recommend anyone purchasing this item.

It was neat during the few hours it worked. After 24 hours it stopped working. The trouble shooting section of the instructions consisted of a short sentence saying take the batteries out and try it again until it works. The unit displays ZERO error information indicating what the problem might be. There doesn't appear to be any online support - not even anyone talking about it besides an overwhelming amount of advertisements. The Taylor website doesn't even list it as a product. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Worked OK for a couple months although I questioned the anemometer readings from the start. Anemometer stopped working and changing the EXPENSIVE battery didn't solve the problem.

My experience with this weather station doesn't start with Amazon but with a purchase I made of this item from a local store. That product had a few really bad problems. Bad solder joints on the outdoor transmitter. Battery terminals losing conact with battery ends, and the recommended batteries not holding up on the indoor display to name a few. These I had all overcome on my own as the system was repairable and my experience working in a TV shop at one time let me do it. I finally had to retire the first outdoor transmitted due a mistake I made on the wind speed and direction vanes. (I plain forgot that oil can freeze and messed them up!) Anyway, the one I received from Amazon was the second one I have gotten and I can say someone learned from some of their mistakes. As with the first outdoor transmitter, I checked and all the soldering was first rate and done right. The battery slots had better terminals and all worked well when set up was completed. The only thing I would suggest is to use regular alkaline batteries on the indoor station as the lithium batteries don't run the always on display to long and the alkalines seem to. Also if indoor batteries get low, they won't pick up the signal from the outdoor unit well. I'm pleased with this item and would bay another.

I have been using this station for a year on and off in a harsh marine environment and it has worked fine.
The only issue is that the metal screws used to close the battery compartment on the vane rusted badly over time. The batteries in the vane lasted a year without replacing so I did not check them regularly.

It is hard to get a good wind reading as it needs something like 10 minutes of cinsistent breeze to tell you anything, It doesn't or isn't capable of giving an accurate wind gust measure either. I'd thought I'd be able to get both of these along with a true wind chill reading, but alas, twas not the case. Still, it's an okay weather station for temperature readings, heast index and relative humidity. Perhaps I was expecting too much.

I HAVE HAD 2 OF THESE BEFORE AND THEY WERE GOOD AS LONG AS THEY LASTED.
THIS STARTED OUT RIGHT BUT AFTER A FEW WEEKS THE WIND GAGE STOPPED WORKING.
