I bought this watch on a whim and absolutely love it, and even better, the price. It is NOT an automatic, so it will make the ticking motion of a quartz, but when measuring time to the 1/100th of a second, automatics are not as precise, hence the use of quartz and what is known in the industry as a hybrid, basically the best of both worlds. Of course it is a unique movement to TAG and also this makes it special. In contrast to what I thought at first the directions are easy once you have gone through them two or three times and the details on how to set time and use the watch are engraved on the back you can have them handy, and I love the feature of storing the year, month, and date so no changing up for a month ending on the 30th, or earlier for Feb, including leap year.

I chose this as my "sporty watch", as I already have a mirrored-face Movado and a skeleton Accutron. However, it will do nicely for both formal and informal occasions. A very beautiful timepiece, I would highly recommend this one!

this watch has superb fit and finish and the all around quality you get from a TagHeuer timepiece.

The watch is lovely. Good weight, stunning looks, not cluttered. Just what you'd expect really. However, Tag Customer service is terrible.
The watch started jumping time. Basically, the minute hand would jump 10 minutes sometimes twenty minutes - just a random amount. Note to others - you can realign the hands to line up with the markers. This not that problem.
If you put the watch in to stopwatch mode, you would see the hands would not all be at 12. So the time reading became unreliable. Tag's standard repair time is 5 weeks in the UK. When the watch returned, it showed the same problem. Tag clearly had not checked the watch. 2nd time back, 3 weeks later the watch appeared to work but this time the minute and second hand would move if the watch watch gently rocked and then not align with the markers. When I went to re align the hands, the hands would not sweep smoothly instead they juddered. Back for a 3rd time and Tag replaced the whole movement. On return the same problem existed and Tag claimed the Claiber S shows this "characteristic". Well my original watch did not do this and I've checked other Caliber S watches and the do not do this.
12 weeks have passed and I am finally getting a replacement watch after threatening to get my credit card company involved (Section 75). Please note Tag are not replacing the watch as they claim no faults exist. The shop is replacing the watch because my contract is with them.
All in I've had Raymond Weil watches, Longines and they have been perfect. I will not buy another Tag due to the stubbornness and and lack of Customer service.

I just love the quality and all the features of this watch. By far the most accurate watch I have ever own (my collection includes Movado, Omega, Tissot, Ulysse Nardin among others). This watch is just awesome for this price with a patented Tag Heuer in house made electro-mechanical movement (really a high end mecaquartz watch). Feels excellent on the wrist with both the bracelet and rubber strap, very comfortable (just the right weight and case size). Look great with sports apparel and/or with a suit to go to work everyday. If your watch is not being used you can store in chronograph mode to save battery life (up to 4 years duration). I have no doubt this watch will last forever (one month and counting). You need to see this wristwatch in person, photos don't do justice to it. Best looking dial face I have ever seen on a watch in person. No problems registering my watch with Tag Heuer to prove authenticity. Highly recommended if you like complicated high end watches! This watch in the future will cost a lot more and yes Tag Heuer continues producing the Calibre S for those disbelievers who said it was discontinued.

I am absolutely delighted with the purchase of this watch. My favorite part about this watch is the weight and the size of the face. The weight is heavy. You can tell it is a quality timepiece. The diameter is perfect. I didn't want something small that would look weak, but I also didn't want something overwhelmingly large that would become a nuisance to wear out. Perfect for formal and informal occasions. This is the total package and definitely what you should look for when spending over a thousand dollars on a watch. Plus the household name Tag Heuer brings a sort of prestige that makes the purchase that much more worth it.

This watch is excellent, looks great, and I've had no problems. I researched many watches before buying and this one is everything I wanted. Sporty and Rugged, I get a lot of comments on this great watch.

Buy this watch and is a wonder, the picture does not do honor their beauty and quality of its finishes. The release of Amazon just perfect and the shipping tracking worked well. I am happy with my new and my old Tag Aquaracer Professional 2000 will probably be a gift to my son Felipe.

What does the term "electro?
Electromechanical clocks are a harmonious mix of horological savoir-faire and quartz accuracy. The Calibre S, with no fewer than 230 mechanical components and five bidirectional micromotors, is a mechanical movement with quartz accuracy.

Duties: The Calibre S offers two modes: "TIME", "CHRONO". To change modes, you only need to press the crown. The reading is simple and intuitive, as viewing modes is done by central hands (hour, minute, second).
The two counters in crescent located at 4.30 and 7.30 works as follows:

In TIME mode: The two semicircular counters, equipped with a perpetual calendar to 2099, lead date, the first digit of the date indicated on the left counter and the second on the counter right.
In CHRONOGRAPH mode: The left counter indicates the tenth of a second from the right-hundredth of a second. Mode "CHRONOGRAPH" to measure the simple times, intermediate and two times at very short intervals.

This is a great looking watch and runs terrific...got a great deal on this from amazon...dont think i would dive with this watch as the crown does not screw down...the functioning of the watch is easy and different from my others...you can see the craftmanship in this timepiece...one of my favorites to wear

Bought this watch from an actual TAG store, got it for around 1200. I love this watch, everytime i put it on it makes me smile, looking at this one compared to all other TAGs in the counter, this was an easy choice for me.

I ordered this watch last night with overnight delivery. I received it at 10.30 am this morning only to find an empty Tag Heuer box. What is incredibly frustrating is that Amazon's customer service for the jewelry department does not allow contact by phone, so they say I must wait 2-3 business days for an email.

Thanks Amazon for being no help at all.
