I waited 10 days after purchase to write this review because I wanted to test the accuracy of this watch. I can safely say that the time gain is about 10 seconds, which means on average the watch gains one second a day. Even by COSC standards (the Swiss time-keeping institute that awards certificates to superlative chronometers like Rolex and Breitling) this is very good indeed. I believe the movement is in-house made, though the base caliber is probably from ETA/Valjoux. My version is blue, though black is equally handsome. Note that the latest versions have "Aquaracer'' on the dial but I don't think it makes any difference performance-wise. Also note that Longines have just a couple of months ago released a line that looks similar and is about US$300 cheaper but the finishing on the TAG is much better. All in all, this is a rugged daily use watch that keeps excellent time and so represents decent value for money.

This watch is obviously a head turner- lots of compliments. But the time keeping is nothing to brag about. Mine has been running about 5 seconds fast per day no matter which way I lay it at night. The other thing I noticed was that the claimed 36 hour wind life might not be quite that long. I let mine sit for only 24 hours and it was stopped.

I would still recommend this watch though. I am happy with my purchase for the money.

I have a large watch collection but I like to add a new watch each year. I had orginally reviewed many of the Omega styles. However, after comparing this Tag Aquaracer model to numerous Omega styles, I decided to purchase this Tag. The watch is a real head turner, and in my opinion, this style looks far superior to similar Rolex models and a fraction of the cost. The pic on the web page does not show how nice this one looks. The dial is a deep blue and the bezel is a dark blue also.

Size, weight, functionality: Though I have small wrists, I like these large watches, and I think this one comes in at 44 MM. However, when I took to a local watch maker, he was able to adjust the band so that is was a snug fit and did "roll over" on my wrist. The automatic function works fine and the date calendar works fine. The crown is a screw in which I like, especially when washing cars. I don't expect any watch to keep 100% accurate time, but so far when I set this watch to an atomic clock, it keeps highly accurate time. I preferred this style to the chronometer style with all the extra buttons I'd never use.

Service: I purchase lots of product from Amazon and this item arrived in a day of two, and required a signature before delivery. Amazon also had a 12 month same as cash promo so that made this a better deal. I'd highly recommend this style and it costs a fraction of the price of other luxury brands, creates a great image for sport or business, and keeps great time. I'll be looking for more good Tag deals from Amazon.

First off all Its a thumbs up from me for Amazon, This is my first online experience and Amazon gave me that confidence through a great satisfying experience they made. I was stunned when I checked the watch condition with all the accessories and the box are intact and real fresh from the Tag Heuer factory.defenitelly I'll keep on coming back to Amazon.
Secondly. regarding the watch,Theres nothing I can say but "Excelent".I've been a tag heuer Fan for 11 years now but this is my first automatic watch in my whole life and I was not dissapointed.Performance,Quality and Design I definitely recommend this watch to anybody BTW Amazon financing is really a great help. This Aquaracer automatic was an excellent buy! The price was great! I own many automatic watches and this one is becoming one of my favorites. The fit and finish of the band, face, are all nice. The timing is extremely easy to read in any light! The diver artwork on the back of the watch is done very nicely.

I do have 2 problems with the watch though. When I recieved the watch, the international warranty card was missing. Amazon does warranty the watch for 2 years. I contacted Amazon about this. They responded with a regret the card was missing and reiterated they warranty the watch for 2 years, however there was nothing they could do about the card. I was able to register the new watch on the Tag Heuer web-site for warranty coverage, however if it has to be returned to Tag, you need to enclose the warranty card with the watch, so, I'm stuck with the Amazon warranty.

The other problem is the bezel is VERY hard to rotate. After rotating it a couple of times it did seem to be getting easier. However it is still the most difficult bezel to rotate of any watch I have.

**** Since I originally wrote this review I have had a major problem. The watch is 1 1/2 years old. The warranty card was missing from the box and Amazon gave me a 2 year warranty on the watch. Well, the stem broke that the crown screws on to so the watch is water resistant. This was not covered under Amazon's warranty. I now have to send the watch back to Tag for repair and pay for the repair. I have worn this watch sparingly and not abused it what so ever. I am NOT HAPPY WITH AMAZON OR TAG HEUER! I presently own over 75 watches, a lot of them high end. This was my first Tag. I will never buy another Tag in my life and will tell anyone that will listen to avoid Tag at all costs! I am also done with Amazon for making purchases.

I have had this watch for a couple of months now. This is a fine watch with excellent craftsmanship. The blue bezel and dial are aesthetically pleasing and much more interesting than the plain old black version. Also, the the price from Amazon can't be beat.

2 minor issues:

1. Mine is about 15 seconds fast per day. With automatic watches, being couple seconds slow/fast per day is normal, however, 15 seconds is bordering on it being out of spec.

2. The description of this watch states that the reserve is 48hr, but in reality it's much less than that.

Even with these 2 issues, the watch still deserves 5 stars

I've collected several "dive watches" over the years...TAG F1 chrono, Rolex Sub, Swiss Army...but I have to admit that this model is my latest favorite...classic styling, great build quality, simplicity of operation
all add up to one great watch at a very reasonable price...($772)

Perfect finish! Different model than traditional TAG HEUER. I love and recommend this watch, very good value for money! Excellent.

Like another reviewer on this page I had the same experience with not receiving the two year warranty card. But, now it is oast two years and the stem bezel (for adjusting the time and date) has broken and does not screw in to seal the unit. Now I'm stuck with an expensive and not very water resistant hunk of metal. If Tag wants to sell watches in this class they should guaranty them against manufacturing defects for the life of the watch.

I bought this watch after really wanting a Rolex Submariner again but in order to get the Blue Faced Rolex you need to spend $7000+ and get the gold so I passed. This is my first Tag. I constantly get compliments on it. It's not too heavy or bulky and it still feels solid. i'd buy another
