TAG Heuer Men's WAF2110.BA0806 Aquaracer Automatic Watch

I recently purchased the WAF2110.BA0806 Aquaracer from Amazon. Before I move on, let's get the fact right: the size of this watch is 38.4mm, not 43mm. You can get the definitive information from Tag Heuer's web site.

The Calibre 5 automatic movement inside this watch is the same ETA 2824-2 that powers numerous mess-produced watches that cost less than one-fifth as much as the Aquaracer. If you want the most movement for your money, go get an Omega or Oris. Tag Heuer have a high level of brand recognition here in the US but that's not because they have the best movements (hint: smart marketing). I bought this watch because: 1) it looks good on my wrist (tried it on at my local mall). 2) it's less expensive than, say, the SeaMaster.

Right out of the box I sync'ed it up with the offical us time website. Three days later I check it again and I couldn't believe my eyes - it gained only 2 seconds! Let me tell you this: this is THE most accurate mechanical watch I've ever heard of, period. Well, it may be just dumb luck. Maybe as time goes by it's accuracy will drift away. But as of now, I am a happy-as-a-clam Tag owner.

I bought this watch for my husband as a wedding gift. I did a lot of research in jewelry stores and online and this was BY FAR the lowest price I could find ANYWHERE, including [...]. I saved at least [...] from the next lowest price I could find. In addition, I received free shipping. The watch came beautifully packaged in Tag's original box. We took it the day it arrived to an authorized Tag Heuer dealer and they verified the authenticity and sized it for [...]. The watch is beautiful!

I ordered this watch from Amazon, and within 10 minutes of receipt, the crown (winding knob) had fallen off. I followed the instructions in the manual to the letter, so I do not believe it was my fault.

From the minute I unscrewed the crown -- this watch features a crown that screws in for watertightness -- it felt flimsy and poorly secured.

Furthermore, Amazon will not replace this product. The best they will do is a refund, which takes 7-14 days from the time they receive the returned product. And they require you to go to the post office and mail it via insured USPS mail, instead of having UPS (the delivery company) pick it up.

Amazon's price is great, as is TAG's reputation, but this situation has left a bad taste in my mouth with regard to both companies.

Think twice before buying this (or any other TAG) from a non-Authorized retailer, like Amazon.

I ordered a second watch from Amazon in hopes that the first one was a fluke. I'm pleased to report that the second watch meets all the expectations I had of a TAG Heuer.

I still wish Amazon would allow for exchanges instead of having return/repurchase, but that's the only negative aspect of this purchase. I updated my rating, with the 1 star deduction being due to Amazon's exchange policy and lack of telephone support.

I'm very pleased with this purchase, and I recommend the watch and Amazon, but do keep in mind everything I've written above. There are definitely some drawbacks when not purchasing from an authorized dealer.

Purchased this item after months of research. I was initially concerned with the size of the watches today and had been looking for something under 39MM (this watch is 38.4MM). After receipt of the watch, which was delivered on the due date, I took the watch to my jeweler, who verified its authenticity, and was amazed at the price I paid for the watch. I had read several reviews on this and other watches in this price range with Automatic movements in which some purchasers were unhappy with how quickly their watch ran down without movement. I have not had this problem. I am very pleased with the purchase, the quality of the product and the service from Amazon.

My wife gave me this watch as a Christmas present, and it was beautiful. But it never worked. I took it out of the box and gave it several shakes, but no movement. I took it to a local Tag dealer who listened to it as he shook it and he thought something was loose inside. I have returned the watch and now hope for a refund and I'm trying to decide if I should chance it to order another.

Update - After returning the watch, Amazon was very prompt with issuing a total refund. I did order another watch and it arrived running. I have not had any problems with this watch and it is running fine and looks great.

Purchased it in a private sale, had it authenticated from an authorized retailer. Lighter then expected but really sharp, for perpetual motion it keeps great time.

i bought this as our engagement gift for my fiance and he loved it! it came in a nice box with all the information and it is so beautiful. the reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because we had a bit difficult time to get the band adjusted. when we took the watch to authorized jewelry stores to get the band adjusted, they said that they can't do it because they can't verify the authenticity. at another other store i tried, they just don't have an authorized person present. i eventually got it fixed at a local store. i am curious to know if this was experienced by others. other than that, it is a very nice and beautiful watch! we absolutely love it.

Great watch thing look forward to wearing it. Some reservation to warranty since Amazon didn't sign warranty card and doesn't appear to be authorized retailer. Hope there own warranty is sufficient should anything go wrong.

So this was my first fine watch purchase and Amazon made it nice and easy. I would suggest that you check out the watch in person and jewelry. You can't beat the price that Amazon will give you. What I like about this version of Aquaracer is the waffle face, the automatic movement and the band. The band has two tones of silver that works well with the black/grey face.

I believe that this watch is appropriate in all settings. The dial is very bright at night, so no worries there. Great buy...even better price.

The Tag WAF2110.BA0806 is a superior quality watch. The double lock stainless steel band is thick and sturdy. The dial sapphire glass is remarkably scratch resistant. I am a contractor and have to move equipment, ladders and meet customers in the field. I try to protect it, but on occasion I will run into something, yet the dial glass remains without scratches after a year. I would say at least once a week I will notice someone staring at it. I have received many nice compliments on the watch.

The watch is an automatic and needs movement to stay on time. If the watch is not worn in a couple of days it will stop and must be reset. The watch can also be wound manually, which can be done every other day.
