5.0 out of 5 stars Love this watch!
I purchased this watch directly from Amazon two weeks ago. I noticed that it gains about 10 seconds per day, or around 1.24 minutes per week. I was initially concerned about this and was considering sending it back to be either repaired or replaced. I hated to go through that hassle, however. 2.0 out of 5 stars Nice watch but...
They did not stamp the warranty and offered no solution to this other than returning the watch. Two problems with this, it was a present and secondly they offered $4 for return costs when they had charged $35 to deliver it. It is a very expensive watch - I want a valid warranty.

Yet to receive the balance of deposit and export tax which was taken at about 15%...

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this watch!, February 10, 2009
This review is from: TAG Heuer Men's WJF2011.BA0592 Link Calibre 5 Day-Date Automatic Watch (Watch)
I purchased this watch directly from Amazon two weeks ago. I noticed that it gains about 10 seconds per day, or around 1.24 minutes per week. I was initially concerned about this and was considering sending it back to be either repaired or replaced. I hated to go through that hassle, however. In the process of doing this, I learned that while it is an authentic Tag watch, it isn't covered by the Tag warranty, because Amazon isn't an authorized Tag dealer. It is covered by a two year warranty from Amazon though. Amazon was willing to refund my money if I returned it, but as I did some research, it seemed that this is a common issue with Tag mechanical watches, and mechanical watches in general. This is the first watch that non-battery operated watch I've owned in years.

I called the Tag service center to talk to a repair tech about my watch and get a ballpark cost of paying to have it repaired. The tech asked me how much time it gained per week. I told her about 1.24 minutes per week. She told me that the tolerance was 2 minutes per week and that my watch was within the tolerance. As a result of this information and other information that I found online, I've decided to do nothing.

In conclusion, I was a little concerned when I learned that the watch wasn't covered by the Tag warranty. Given that I saved around a thousand dollars, I'm ok with the tradeoff. As far as the watch gaining time, after researching that issue, I'm ok with that as well. The watch is beautiful and I am well satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rolex? What Rolex?, December 30, 2009
This review is from: TAG Heuer Men's WJF2011.BA0592 Link Calibre 5 Day-Date Automatic Watch (Watch)
This is just a great watch. Probably won't ever need another, but if you like watches, as I do, this one will still find a steady spot in the rotation.

The first reviewer's particular model must be slightly off, as mine keeps perfect time. It's as reliable as my Blackberry.

You can't tell from Amazon's images, but the back of the case is clear so that you can see the movement. It's a great touch. Also, the closure is push button, unlike the typical clasp. Feels more durable. Also, the band doesn't pull your wrist hair like others I own. Another thing you can't tell is that the second hand ticks three times/ second, not just every second. Not a sweeping movement like a Rolex, but it's distinctive. I'm not actually sure if this is common to all TAG Heuers or not, but either way this is a nice feature.

A classic watch, despite the negative publicity by TAG's most visible sponsee (yes, it's a word). The size, weight, materials, features, and accuracy are top notch.

This watch is beautiful and functional; however, the stem broke after a short time. Checking online, I have found that this is a common problem. If you get this watch, or any similar TAG Heuer, be VERY careful when setting the watch as the stem has 3 positions and is easily broken.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handsome man's watch, November 1, 2010

I bought this for my husband as a gift. It is a very nice watch. He likes it very much. One nice touch is that it has the day and date on the watch. Also it is not as big as other men's watches out there. We have had no problems with it since we have bought it over a year ago.

Excellent free one-day delivery. Watch is amazing and great style. It was also the best deal. Much better looking than a Rolex. The watch has been running without winding since I placed it in a watch winder.

1.0 out of 5 stars It is not a new watch, August 25, 2010
This review is from: TAG Heuer Men's WJF2011.BA0592 Link Calibre 5 Day-Date Automatic Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch last Thursday and it said it is a new watch. But I just found that it is a returned watch from some other customer when I got it today, since there was a note in the box saying "Reason: Defective/Does not work properly ....action requested: Refund" also, the watch I got is not working at all at the time when I got it.

Yet to receive the balance of deposit and export tax which was taken at about 15% of value of watch, $300+.
