5.0 out of 5 stars Only A Cat Can Tell You How God Wants You To Live October 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The stories in this book gives you a moral compass to live by as seen thru the eyes of cats.

How we humans can self-destruct and be so callous against our own kind, as explained by these cats, is so introspective it really makes you stop and think about your actions and the impact it has on yourself as well as others.

Some stories are funny and some are sad but this book is an amazing read.

Read it and then read it again and again.

Every year I wait for the new "Cat" calendar and have lots of my own "cat" stories. But this was beyond great... Cats are compassionate spirits that go way beyond attaching themselves to us... a great read...

5.0 out of 5 stars Tales from the Fur Side December 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I purchased this book to have on my phone so I'd have something to read while I'm waiting at the doctor, dentist, etc. It's life as told from a cat's point of view & is adorably written. If you have a cat (or the cat has you), you'll love this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feline fun fur everyone.! December 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Very funny feline fantasies and humour, as a dedicated cat lover, this Authors insights and understanding of the character and behaviour of cats did resonate with me based on my long time experience as a fervent feline follower. I will be more than happy to see a sequel ,hoping that one does eventuate. my sincere congratulations and appreciation to Peter Benn for his most highly commendable effort and the pleasure it gave me..regards, Kathleen.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected but entertaining nonetheless... December 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I thought this was going to be full of funny cat tales of mischief and mayhem. The tales were entertaining and interesting don't get me wrong, but I'm not yet sure if I was disappointed or not to find it was not quite what I expected.

The stories made me think that this is the way all felines think, and for a while I got carried away by the feeling that the cat's perspective was entirely real and plausible. Then I pulled myself up and realised these were not biographies/memoirs but plain fiction, yet done in a very believable way.

This one is tricky to call and I'm not sure what to make of it but I would encourage those who love cats to read it. I really want to fault it but I can't, yet it doesn't quite deserve more than a 3* rating, which just indicates that it's worth a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prrrrrrrr.... July 5, 2013
A great little book for all moggy-lovers. Especially like the idea that cats already know it all before we do. Think Mother's Day when you don't know what to buy Mum or Gran.

3.0 out of 5 stars Collection of short stories April 18, 2014
By Lea
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Cute short stories written from the cat's perspective. I was expecting stories about cats from the human perspective. As I was reading it, I often thought to myself, this would be fun to read to a child out loud. The stories usually had a moral, which if reading to a child, would subtly give them a right/wrong message, without a grown up feeling as if they were being preached at.

If I had only about 10 minutes of sitting in a doctor's office, I would pick this book to read, as the short story format allowed me to be interested, but if I got interrupted, I could just start the story over at a later date, and not feel like I needed to keep up with the details, as in a murder mystery. Because it was obviously fictional, I didn't really care about the character too much. So although it was well written, and there was character development, I just didn't eagerly grab for the book, after I put it down.

It's all about how much more intelligent cats are then humans. I don't know about you but my cat needs me to feed her.

More About the Author

Peter is a mature age Australian writer who shares his experiences with his readers so that others may learn from his life and therefore make their own path a little easier.

Since being a boy in a small rural community he has sought means to do this, especially in the world of visual entertainment. His knowledge and active distribution of children's films and educative documentaries is widely known and appreciated throughout Australian public libraries and schools, and was a means of bringing to the attention of parents and educators the best productions that these genre could provide. He also programmed cinemas, conducted Australia wide children's film festivals, was actively involved in short film production, ran touring film projection services, hosted appropriate websites and was an active member of many film related organizations.

As he couldn't be the schoolteacher he desired to be, so he turned to words - written words. He wrote many short stories, a children's novel, screenplays, catalogues, newsletters - and these helped him improve his skills to the point where he now happily writes as his primary interest in life.

The "write about what you know" advice that was frequently given to him has led to his books being very personal and honest in nature, with wise wisdom at their core. Travel, sexuality, philosophy, photography are just the beginning of his subjects.

Peter also has a very spiritual nature and a unique view of the world that makes him happy, contented and totally as one with Source. Expect his future books to reflect and embrace this joy and affinity - and maybe also for contrast, a nostalgic look back at life in a small rural Australian town in the 1950s.
