Could never get it to work...,

My office ordered the Visitor Chime and the Universal Adapter from TATCO. My co-workers and I followed the instructions provided. We set the universal adapter to the required 6V setting, used the green dot plug as suggested on the instructions [in the proper orientation] - but had no response (chime). We tried using batteries and also had no response(chime). I'm surprised this thing even worked for the other reviewer. Buy something else...this thing is a piece of junk! I will be seeking a refund.

Only sense if you pass not over 1 feet despite of the level of light.
