I'm active duty military & I've had this watch (technically the previous version) for 3 years. I've worn it everywhere - from elevations over 13,000 feet to 100ft underwater and just about every climate in between. It has performed flawlessly. The tritium lights are as bright as the day I got it. My only issue was that the crystal is fairly scratched now; but this latest version has a much better sapphire crystal, so I expect that scratching will be much less of an issue. Overall, I've put it through quite a test over 3 years, and I can't recommend it enough.

UPDATE 26 January 2015 - year 4 with this watch: still going strong. I had to replace the battery about 6 months ago. Water resistance is still solid after having the case off (including scuba diving - but since then I haven't gone much below 40 feet). The tritium is still amazingly bright. The time keeping is still accurate & the rubber band shows almost no signs of wear. The only problem that's come up was that I accidentally smacked the watch getting out of a vehicle and the rotating bezel flew off. It popped back on easily, functions normally and feels secure, but be aware that a good smack to the side of the bezel may cause it to pop off. I am a bit disappointed about this, but in fairness, I've beat the hell out of this watch over four years, so something was bound to give.I guess I would say that if you're really hard on your watches and you want something that's virtually guaranteed to take the abuse in stride go with a G-Shock. But if you want a tough tritium watch that looks good dressed up or in the field & will still take quite a bit of abuse, this is a great watch. Overall, I remain very impressed with it.

I bought this watch mainly because of the Tritium face. This is one of 6 watches I own. From Rolex to Citizen to Omega. This is by far the best night watch I have. Not to mention that is very comfortable and looks awesome. I have tested all these watches at night and yes the luminious watches ate very impressive once you hit them with a bright light but after an hour the Tawatec is considerably brighter and crisp making it almost memorizing to look at.

Mind you I've only had this watch for a week, I'm already impressed with it. I think it has the largest face for a tritium watch besides the Luminox Field watch in its price range. I purchased it direct from the manufacturer at a very reasonable price (I believe it was $345 or so) and it got to my residence in three days - from Switzerland! And like the other reviewer said, the tritium vials are perfect for reading time at night. I would also like to add that the red anodized crown really gives this watch a distinguished look - that and you get the sapphire lens so just shell out the extra cash and get the Diver MK II instead of the Diver. These guys are also very responsive to customer concerns: I thought I had selected the wrong tritium color so I emailed them. I got a response within 12 hours. After confirming with them by replying to their email, my watch was out the door FedEx Express four hours later. If things continue the way they are I look forward to buying Titan Diver for more formal occasions.

Oh and I also recommend you get the NATO rubber watch band. It has a Bell&Ross look and feel - it just looks good.

EDIT: The watch recently broke, so I emailed the company and within days they had me send the watch off for warranty repairs. I got it back in around 14-15 days, but the point is that they honor their warranty. Additionally, the company "Saltzman's Watches" added an additional year of warranty service if it ever failed again.

UPDATE 12/19/2014: After having the watch serviced once, I was really miffed when the crown began failing - turns out I used the wrong sized battery and it caused the watch to begin malfunctioning for some odd reason. Lets hope this is in fact the problem as the watch has resumed working problem free.

Best Spec Ops watch for the money! I have been on spec ops teams for 8 years and after my
Si Casio took a crap i decided to look for something simple, durable and accurate.
Some of the team members were using luminox and didn't think they help up to deeper depths.
So,I did some research and landed on the Tawatec....why..because they are a real Swiss company
Making real mil spec watches. They are squarely focused on quality and reability in the field.
They only use the G25 tubes for illumination features not the Lower cost G12.
The watch itself is all Ronda jewel movement from this foremost Swiss company.
The sapphire crystal is much more scratch resistant and is anti reflective for better out of sight use.
I have had the Mark I version of this watch for 4 brutal years and it has never let me down...the illumination is
Still bright and clear...time is very precise and the light weight design makes this watch I never take off.
The new Mark II has better glass, multicolored hands , and a red accent on the bezel....it looks great
On and off the battle field.....I have dived to the 30m mark without any problems and the luminous dial is a real
God send for watching your air. I highly recommend this watch for serious durability and precision.
