This review is from: T'Ai Chi Ch'Uan and I Ching: A Choreography of Body and Soul (Paperback)
This book has an introduction and a list of Yang style short form postures. Then it has another list of the moves with a short description explaining why a hexagram is for each posture. That is about 75% of the book right there; Introduction, list of moves, and list of moves with short description. The last 1/4 of the book further describes the mindset and quality of energy used for tai chi. It does cover many important points of tai chi quick and briefly. And of course they are profound because tai chi is profound. If you read up or study tai chi you will encounter the same points and wisdom. This book does not fseem to have any personal feeling or experienced writer behind it. It seems to be gleaned from other sources..
This is a GOOD OVERVIEW but. I suppose if you like hexagrams the description of them, they may aid a beginner in remembering the moves, but I don't see another point unless you are a scholar of the I ching. The book is a nice small size and shape, its fine to own if you can get cheap. 3 stars for lack of a over all connecting philosophy expounded by author and for lack of direction and sources
