Seldom was a name of a plane so far from the mark as with the Devastator. This was mainly because of the time it went to combat, too long after it had been put into service. When it entered service, it was one of the most modern planes in the world as this book explains. Good text, lots of good photographs and splendid artwork plus the fact that there is not much to choose between for with this plane are the main reason for the four stars, its is by any way far superior too the sole other book specially about this plane, Aero Series No.23 from Aeropublishers, from 1973 till 1989 the only monograph devoted to this plane.

The "In Action" series is a known item to readers of this type of reference so I won't retell an old story. The vendor who sold this was outstanding. The condition of the book was, in my opinion, much better than stated on the listing and it more than serves my purpose. The delivery and communication were first rate. Trust this seller he delivers.

Another fine example of an airplane that did live up to it's name and legacy. A must for the diehard collector and historian.
