Geo Gosling received a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in a bicycle vs. automobile collision. This book describes his stay in the hospital and some of the trials and tribulations of his recovery, which is continuing to this day.

About the Author
Geo Gosling survived a bicycle vs. pick-up truck collision. He was the bicycle and he lost. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Univeristy of California at Davis. 5.0 out of 5 stars Not pretty, March 5, 2007
Most other books dealing with brain injuries are written by family members of the injured, and/or medical professionals that have worked with the injured or who specialize in the brain. This book was written by the individual who suffered the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). It certainly was not a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, quit the opposite, in fact. In addition, most other books on the subject give advice, tips, or strategies on how the victim and/or friends and family can deal with the changes that will occur. This book does not. It is not pretty. It describes the unpleasantness of life for an adult male who has received a TBI.

5.0 out of 5 stars A friend trapped in Hell..., March 13, 2007
How do you understand what someone feels if they can't tell you? Have you ever wondered what it is like to be trapped inside a non-functional body? Geo tells his story from the heart with very little outside influence. The raw descriptions of Geo's life as it passes by is enlightening, troubling, dramatic and real. The tone is bitter and honest, but provides the reader with perspective that we all need. Outlining the path from loving life to struggling with emotions most associated with a frustrated adolescent, Geo's story of life in reverse is eye opening for any intellectual caring person. Read this book for you, for Geo and for the fighters that you don't notice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Should be mandatory reading at medical school, December 1, 2007
Granted, this is not going to get a Pulitzer prize any time soon. But this book achieved its mission: I read it with relish, it kept me entertained, it educated me. It also made me furious, in a way. Geo's experiences in the hands of medical professionals left much to be desired. This is why I think medical people should read this, because for every Geo writing a book about their medical experiences, there are tons of people who didn't, and who as well have been subjected to the arrogance, the incompetence, or the disdain of doctors, nurses, psychiatrists and physical therapists.
