1.0 out of 5 stars Worst I Ever Had, February 26, 2006

This review is from: TDK DVD+R 4.7GB 8x Spindle (50-Pack) (Electronics)
I should have checked the Amazon reviews before buying this junk. The worst media I ever had. Burned 5 coasters in a row. The media is actually made by CMC Magnetics, TDK just puts their name on it. CMC is notorious for making junk media. Can't believe TDK would put their name on a terrible product. I took this junk back for a refund and got Fuji. You have to watch out for the CMC Magnetics junk, a lot of comapnies are using them like Memorex and Philips

5.0 out of 5 stars The best recordable DVDs --- NOT!, April 29, 2006
This review is from: TDK DVD+R 4.7GB 8x Spindle (50-Pack) (Electronics)
I've recorded over 400 movies in the past year, mostly on these TDK disks, mostly with a Panasonic DVD recorder. I've tried other brands, Verbatim, Memorex, HP, and others, and with those 1 out of 10 or 20 fail. Not these - only about one failure per 100.
REVISION: Since writing this review, I've had a package of these from which more than half were defective. TDK honored their warranty and sent me replacements; but so far, the first 3 replacement discs failed, the 4th worked. I'm sure it's not a problem with the DVD recorder because it works with DVD+R discs of the same speed rating from other packages, as mentioned above with occasional failures. Suddenly the TDK DVD+Rs are failing more than 50% so I guess they must have manufactured a bad batch that got by their quality control. I can't seem to change my rating here, but I would only give them 2 stars now.

As far as I can tell these are perfect. Work in all three different burners.
