A Sturdy, Solid Power Rack,
By
This review is from: Titan Power Rack-84" (Misc.)
My main concern was buying a flimsy power rack, one that would sway and wobble while doing exercises. I had read one person's review of a rack that he had to, "weigh down," with weights while he did pullups so that the rack wouldn't tip over; NOT what I was looking for. This TDS Titan Power Rack is heavy (350 plus) pounds, which is significant because it is very sturdy and stable. I also like how there is more space between the front and rear posts than other power racks I have used. I did not purchase the plate weight attachment accessory because space at home is precious; I use a separate weight tree instead. The rack was easy to put together and the closer spacing of the, "mounting holes," for the j-hooks and safety bars lets you achieve a more custom setup for your particular height and/or lifting style. I'm quite pleased...and so are my quadriceps.

Impressive,

I don't usually write reviews, but the reviews on Amazon and other websites helped me make an informed decision and i hope to return the favor. I have been looking for a power rack for about 4 months saving my hard earned cash to purchase the right one that was sturdy, long lasting and something I would enjoy using. This is that rack. I litterally went back and forth through the internet and local equipment retailers to find what I wanted. After hearing some mixed reviews about NewyorkBarbell I was somewhat nervous makking a big purchase frmo them but I have bought smaller stuff from them before. This rack is awesome 84" is perfect for what i use it for I'm 5'9" and can do standing presses inside of it!!! assembled by myself in about an hour and holy smokes is it sturdy. It feels like it could support a house. shipping is steep, but I felt it was worth the price considering it weighs over 300 pounds. No issues asthetically and all the parts where there. If you can afford it this is the rack to buy!!!

exercising for life,
This review is from: Titan Power Rack-84" (Misc.)
I've had this toy for about 5 months now and use it a few times a week. Overall an excellent piece of equipment. Easy to assemble (about an 1 hour by myself), easy to use. Heavy construction, sturdy. It tolerates weights up to 250 pounds without the support bars bending. The price was the most expensive compared to its competitors and the shipping was high (2-3x higher than the competition). The company was less than responsive to responding to emails (typically 3-5 days if at all) and were unresponsive to bartering. Two of the painted numbers (locating the holes) were smeared; not a biggie but at this price would expect better quality. The weight of the cage and the size of the beams distinctly dominates "equivalent" equipment. The quality of the cage clearly makes up for the less than stellar service of the company and high price.
