Excellent Cassette Deck,

I couldn't find many review on this unit and the fact that I don't like buying audio equipments without prior listening to it made me somewhat skeptical about this purchase. But knowing Amazon's excellent policies, I decided to give it a try and I'm very glad I did. The TEAC W865R cassette deck is a bit pricey, but it's worth every penny. It is a very attractive and well made unit. Sound quality is very decent (above my expectation) for a consumer unit. I love the fact that it has pitch control, a feature not many decks have these days. Has almost every features you can think of on a cassette deck. Definitely recommend it!

I was looking for a machine to record my favorite radio broadcasts and also play my old cassette tape albums. This recorder/player does the job nicely. I wish it had a built-in clock to set unattended recording like a VCR.

TEAC W865R Dual Cassette Deck,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TEAC W865R Dual Cassette Deck with Pitch Control (Electronics)
It works perfectly, as advertised. I bought 2 units years ago and daily use just wore out one deck. I have 2 decks going during recording so a sticking tape doesn't wreck my needs, I have a backup. Unfortunately, there was only one recorder available and I'd love to keep buying this product for years. Found that Maxwell tapes, which is all I can buy locally are crap as they stick and stop the recorder within couple uses and have to be tossed. All I will use is SONY or TDK I get through Amazon.
