I used this to help me complete a top end rebuild on a four wheeler. I had some very stubborn gaskets left on the head but this scraper did a great job of getting the gaskets off without damaging the metal on the head. Good product. Would buy again.

Strong product at an Amazing price!!! I sharpened it slightly to get into those corners, keep it cool if you sharpen. hit it with some flat black paint at the tip to keep rust at bay. Scrapes a perfect row every time. Steel and plastic are perfect, and that handle stands up to oil amazingly.

if you're scraping gasket surface you should be doing it with one of these. Sooo much more effective than razer blades, or bogus plastic scrapers.

This is a well made and sturdy tool. I have used razor type scrapers in the past only to have to constantly fool with the clamp pressure along with lots of broken blades and gouged aluminum surfaces to show for it. This tool eliminates these issues and it is just as effective. Actually, it's more effective since you're less likely to mar the machined surface that the old gasket is sitting on.

I have been rebuilding my tool collection as of late. I have always been a Craftsman guy, I grew up with that Made in USA brand. But after about 5 years since my last trip, image my surprise to see Made in China on half there items. I was ready to cry, cursing Wally World the whole time. Well for Christmas I received a $100 gift card for my favorite store, Amazon, I started researching some other tool brands. I came across Tekton and decided on the good reviews, and no long caring about China made (since everything is now), I loaded up my cart with about $150 worth of Tekton tools. A dead blow hammer, chisel set, file set, oil filter wrench, snap ring pliers, digital tire guage, pick set and a few others. The same tools with my favorite brand would have cost maybe a third or so more. I must say, for what they are the quality is amazing and every bit as good as Stanley made or Craftsman's non-professional line (tools in the store). So in conclusion, whenever I need a critical specialty tool I will look to Tekton made tools; they are probably the best for the price you can find...

Sharing this on all the Tekton products I purchased.

I've been on the fence about purchasing a gasket scraper but I am glad that I did. I've used razor blades in the past but if you are not careful it is terribly easy to damage the surface being scraped. This gasket scraper is not as sharp as a razor blade but has much more heft and is easier to remove stubborn gaskets as the blade does not flex like a traditional razor blade. I used this tool to remove the rear differential gasket from a truck with over 200,000 miles. Needless to say the old gasket was stuck on pretty good but I was able to remove every bit easily. The scraper is very sturdy and is well constructed. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

cheap in price. CHEAP in quality. the scraper edge is dull. the scraper edge is welded to handle VERY poorly. very rough weld and the blade is not perpendicular to handle. you have to scrape at an angle to have the blade edge scrape the surface correctly. It I is sturdy and you can put good pressure on it. I had to sharpen the edge on a grinder, otherwise it would never removed old gasket and sealant remnants.
