Still Using Maxi Pads for the Unexpected Leak?

It's not uncommon to reach for sanitary pads when first experiencing an Unexpected Leak. When it happens, people usually have a few extra in the house already and everyone knows they're made to absorb liquid. However, feminine protection isn’t designed to handle urine. So they don't offer the same protection as TENA incontinence liners, guards, and pads.

Our incontinence products are all specifically designed to absorb urine and lock it away. The supper absorbent material we use several times more absorbent than the materials found in feminine care products. That means you'd need a much heavier maxi pad to do the same work of a much lighter TENA product.

When you use TENA products instead of feminine protection pads, you'll have the confidence to go about your day with Fearless Protection that won't interfere with your lifestyle.

Features

Leakage Barrier

Typical feminine products have channels, but don’t incorporate elastic to prevent leaks. TENA products include elastic barriers to protect against leaks and enhance comfort.

Top Sheet

Typically, feminine products have a more open top sheet is designed for thicker substances like menstrual fluid. TENA has a specially designed top sheet and distribution layers are specifically designed for urine.

Absorption

Many feminine products do not include a super absorbent microbeads, or lower amounts of absorption power than an incontinence product. TENA’s super absorbent polymers quickly absorb and lock away fluid.

Odor Control

Many feminine products simply use deodorant to mask odor. This only masks odor. TENA uses a specific pH balance to control and neutralize odor, rather than just mask it.

Technology Makes the Difference in TENA Incontinence Pads

When it comes to our liners, pads and underwear, you may wonder how TENA packs superior absorbency into such thin and discreet products. The answer lies in our unique blend of Super Absorbent Microbeads (SAMs). These innovative materials not only retain up to three times their weight in liquid, which keeps them slim, they also neutralize odors, making them the ideal solution for staying dry and comfortable.

What Makes Our SAMs Better

Not all SAMs are created equal. We use only the highest quality available, engineered to maximize the performance of our absorbent pads. Our SAMs provide:

- Faster absorption to wick moisture away from your skin

- Powerful liquid retention, even under the pressure of sitting or moving

- Resistance to swelling for a discreet and comfortable fit

- pH balancing to neutralize odors

Innovative Features Increase Your Protection

Our advanced materials are only part of the story. Innovative design features provide you with:

- Anatomically shaped aborbent pads for men to ensure highly absorbent materials are in the right place to handle the job

- This area provides even more protection with super absorbent microbeads.

- Quiet, non-woven materials to keep products even more discreet.

These are reasonably priced and I plan to buy multiple packages next order.

This is without a doubt the most absorbent protective briefs on the market, ounce per ounce and it provides the best odor control too.

I purchase the Heavy absorbancy pad, and this pad is comfortable, with very good absorbancy.

Okay so we must gather round and discuss the topic of incontinence, something no one wants to chat about. Being somewhat young for this prob, I kept using 'overnight' pads and finally decided with all the Medicare/caid ads on TV that I would look into getting a prescription. However, if anyone doesnt already know Medicare does not cover disposable items such as these, you can get cloth diapers, but having had 5 kids that wasn't on my agenda anymore. I decided to try these, altho the word 'thin' scared me since the incontinence varies and sometimes is too heavy. Some of the cause is medications I use, but at night lying flat and suddenly at 2am waking in a fight of coughing...need I say more? I think not. If you're struggling with this issue and not sure where to start, start with these, they are super absorbent and LARGE, LONG. Instead of having to change regular pads during the day or waking at night, I use a TENA and can sleep thru the night and change on waking for the day.
The price for a pak of 32, a month's worth of pads is actually cheaper than hunting down a sale on overnight w/wings pads so I subscribe to these TENA's now at a great price.
I wholly recommend these to anyone unsure where to turn or slightly ashamed having to start using incontinence products.

i "tested" this product. i even wore one that had accidently ripped on the side. i wanted proof that they were as good as these reviews said they were--they weren't cheap, so i was wanting to make sure i had actually gotten my money's worth. the short answer is: oh, heck yeah.

i need serious protection in the daytime, and i wore these overnight too. i often lose complete control at night. with my old protection method, i'd wear pants to 'catch' fluid leakage, and i'd have to change my pants and often had to change the bed pad as well. sometimes twice. with these, i can wear my nightgown, and a few times i've felt okay enough not to use the bed pad.

anyway, yeah, they are this good.

I use these on my elderly mom who has dementia. The performance of these is unsurpassed. In the cheaper ones she wears a medium but the material is cheap/thin. They stretch- to the point they move and cause leaks. Her nurse suggested wearing two at a time which helped but wearing one is bad enough. The material of the panty is more substantial with these and it makes a huge difference. They don't stretch or move and we've never had a leak yet. I was so impressed I bought the Tena maximum absorbency but these performed better (the pad on the other may be rated as more absorbent but the panty is cheap). The product itself I'd give 10 stars if I could but I just bought them at Walmart for $10 a package- almost half price so I'd give Amazon's pricing 1 star. You'd think I would have been embarrassed but honestly no one looked and the cashier didn't even blink- it was absolutely worth saving the money =)

Update: I told Amazon (there is a link about lower pricing on the page) about the price difference. I don't know if they listened but I am very happy to see they lowered the price. Still the absolute best and this is now the only way to buy them as far as I'm concerned!!

This is without a doubt the most absorbent protective briefs on the market, ounce per ounce and it provides the best odor control too.

All the undergarments I've tried keep and retain moisture. The trick is to prevent odors from escaping. The Depend brand comes in a size that ranges from 38 to 64 inches. My waist size is 46. Come on!!! Who is kidding who? When I wear the Depend for men undergarment, it's like wearing a tent. When I wake up the following morning, I smell of urine. Sure, the bed sheets are not wet but the odor is escaping. I can smell it as I move around in bed. Now why would I want to wear this heavily advertised brand around my co-workers?

The Tena brand on the other hand are for men who have a 34 to 50 inch waist size. They are snug fitting and are perfectly contoured with the male anatomy in mind. Unless you accidentally rip them, which is highly unlikely, they will easily handle whatever comes their way.

Maybe the Tena brand is not the most economical. But if you are still employed as I am and need to meet a lot of people in the course of the day, why argue with success.

I can't tell you how many of my 50+-aged female friends have asked me, in low embarrassed tones, if I have any problems with "leaking." They seem so relieved when I tell them that, oh, yeah, I've got a dribbly bladder and have had for years. They then confess that they do, too.

Hey, after all they've been through, old wimmins' bladders can get a little leaky. It's not a disease. It's normal aging. I don't want the pharmaceutical companies to make obscene profits off of me getting old (it's not a sense of urgency, anyway; it's occasional slight leaking), but I haven't been satisifed with the usual solution of using sanitary napkins to catch the dribbles.

I don't agree with a lot of folks here that the usual sanitary napkins are an acceptble substitute. Not if you aren't changing them quite frequently. A sanitary napkin is usually changed every four hours, more or less. The material they are made of is not designed to hold up all day, and certainly not all day and all night (or more, if you forget what day it is). They bunch up and get yucky and start coming apart at the seams. Even the Poise brand of incontinence pads (for me, anyway) don't hold up that well if worn longer than 12 hours, and I don't like the shape as much as I do the Tena pads.

So I like the Tena pads. They are made of a densely packed material, and I don't much notice I even have one on. They are folded up into a little tiny, tidy square with wrapper. I've gone through a 24-hour trial with one, and it's held up well. I don't notice a baking soda odor; I don't notice any odor at all, even after I've been wearing it for a while--which is the point. The adhesive is great (firmly adheres) and the length is, too.
