I read this long ago with the original romance cover, and loved it. But couldn't find the saga prior to it. Now, I know all the books stand alone but are mingled cleverly. I would say #2 is a sequel where it's best to have read #1, but Taylor finds the pefect way to catch up a reader who misses any of the sagas. I fell for their first son immediately, and his chose the perfect mate. Great job! Hated to learn this series went out of print, so thanks to Kindle for giving it back to me!

This is another one of Janelle Taylors wonderful recreation of a romance of unforgettable essence. Never a page written without a hints of suspense. Alisha endures one tragedy after another and continues to believe. Very hard to put down.
