3.0 out of 5 stars Delivered in Good Shape but runs a little rough, February 24, 2009
This review is from: ETQ TG7000E 7,000-Watt Portable Generator with Electric Start (Lawn & Patio)
I decided to buy this generator after having lost power for 2 weeks over the last year due to Ike rolling through Kentucky along with the worst Ice Storm on record. Delivery was by ABF and it arrived on a truck with a lift Gate and was delivered right to my garage door. Assembly was easy enough. The only concern I had was that the engine would not run smoothly with the choke all the way in. Even after running for several minutes I could not push the choke all the way in with out it starting to surge and hunting for the correct speed. I called the hotline and with their direction and the turn of a screw I got it smoothed out. I have run it with 3000 watts worth of portable heaters hooked up and it does fine. The only thing wrong with it is that I cannot tighten the wheels down with out locking up the bearing on the wheel. I called and they said they would send me a new pair. I think they need to just be aligned properly. Over all it starts on the second pull everytime and only time will tell how will hold up but so far I am pretty satisfied.

4.0 out of 5 stars It works fine, no major issues, February 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ETQ TG7000E 7,000-Watt Portable Generator with Electric Start (Lawn & Patio)
They delivered it in less then a week, free shipping. The box seemed fine, no dents or marks. I opened the box and found the main panel was cracked. Called Amazon and they gave me a discount... much more then the glue cost to fix the crack, very nice. I put in some oil and gas, started on second pull and it fired right up. The instructions seemed simple, attach axle, wheels, handles and such... only a real monkey could mess it up. I then wheeled to the back of my house, hooked it to our transfer switch and fired it up. Flipped the switches and yep, my house had lights, heat, frig, freezer and TV... worked like it should.

1.0 out of 5 stars weak construction, January 23, 2008
This review is from: ETQ TG7000E 7,000-Watt Portable Generator with Electric Start (Lawn & Patio)
The product shipment was unsatifactory. It arrived with a truck witn no lift gate and only a driver. I had to hire three people to bring the generator down the truck. Next, the assembly instructions were not adequate, parts were missing and there were rwo broken parts on the frame.
