This is the first book I have read from Rose Carter, but it won't be my last. While the book starts off in a manner that seems predictable, the tune quickly changes as the story progresses, things are not as they appeared to be. With twists and turns scattered throughout this book is full of mystery and suspense, all the while making you question what you know. Detective Ryan Cook adds a unique element to the story line as he attempts to uncover the truth, which is much more challenging then expected, I won't ruin any of the good parts, it is a mystery, but this was a very good read.

I am always one to finish things I start - including books, but this time, I'm not even going to finish it. The idea is there but the execution of the story is not great. The story flow feels very choppy and without much detail or description. I almost feel like a young child is telling me a story and just giving me some facts instead of the details that make the story juicy and inviting. Everything is given away without much investment into the story, and you are left with nothing to make you want to continue on. You already know who did it, why they did it, how they got caught, etc before it even happnes. I think the writer needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. I'll be putting it away and not continuing down this journey. I'm so thankful that I didn't have to pay for this one.

This story starts out with Daniel, the main character, stating plainly that he murdered his father and he doesn't even feel bad about doing it.

No spoilers...he goes on to explain why he did it. The story revolves around the immediate family and lawyer knowing he did it, and the police and murder witness suspecting he did it.

This is a fast paced and plainly written book which revolves around the impact a murder has on those directly involved with the murderer. The reader knows what Daniel is doing and thinking, and also knows what the lead detective on the case is doing, and how he is trying to catch Daniel.

I found this novel well written with few mistakes, properly formatted for e-reading, and above all an interesting read being that the reader knows exactly what Daniel did and why, and that a main character is so easily disliked. I kept wishing for him to get caught and convicted!

I really enjoyed The Curious Case of Daniel Walter. I thought that the description of the book was intriguing and kind of funny. I was very curious why he would kill his father, and I wasn't disappointed in what I found out. Daniel's personality is interesting and he's a fun character to follow. I like how blunt he is and how he just does what he feels is right, without second guessing himself. He's a strong character and I'm glad that I read the book! I read it in about a day after downloading it, because I couldn't put it down!
