Book Description

On the night of an evil’s imminent reign those who suffer beyond and again will be the only ones who can stop it.

And so the countdown to our end begins...

Reeling in the wake of tragic devastation, the Willers family travels to isolated Concave Mountain, miles away from the nearest town, in an avid effort to heal the scars etched deep on the front of their hearts. But never in their darkest nightmares could they have imagined their unsettling encounter with two unusual strangers – one naïve, withholding a secret of dread, and the other a voice-filled madman acting on behalf of destiny – would bring forth disaster and reveal the lurking harbinger of doom impending upon our world.

Under the watchful eyes of the night, the agonized family and unsuspecting others find themselves thrust into the final act of an ancient pact to decide the fate of eternity. And though their terror continues to mount, they have not yet witnessed...The Everto Addo.

Will we be saved from its soul-shackling reign?

About the Author

Quinten Cody is a writer who resides near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His debut novel, The Everto Addo, was published when he was 20-years-old. Growing up, he was an avid reader of horror and fantasy, and avoided trouble by joining a dank dungeon-gym unknown to most who pass it by. Within its confined walls he learned of perseverance…and darkness; as a teen, he set a world record in the deadlift. Most of what he’s accomplished can be contributed to straying away from the pack, and the free time to better one’s self that comes with it. His mind can be found looking down from the moon but only when he’s not writing or delving into the dark place. Hopefully he’s made it home safe.

Quinten Cody's "The Everto Addo" stands above the usual run-of-the-mill horror books you'll find on sale at Amazon.com or in a bookstore. With deft writing, Cody sends the reader on a terrifyingly wild journey with the Willers family, which is stalked in the real world by a pathological killer and hunted in a nightmare netherworld by a demonic being and its hair-raising cast of minions. As shifting between these two universes, Cody steadily elevates the level of tension and suspense until the reader starts wondering if every little noise in the house might be one of those strange apparitions looking for the next victim in his or her own house. Best of all, there's a layer of meaning running beneath each of these demons, so Cody subtly spends the book talking about what living in our real world really means; still, this theme never gets in the way of the story. For a fantastic examination of what our nightmares and being human really means - or for just a damn good, bone-chilling read, "The Everto Addo" is among the best books around.

4.0 out of 5 stars Scary, nailbiting November 12, 2012
By Donna D
Format:Paperback
This is an excellent book. It is hard to believe that this is a first time author. The detail is great. You can almost see the characters and scenes in your mind. The author sets up the characters and the plots so well it will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Just when you think you know whats going to happen - your pulled into another dark corner of fear and mystery. It's a nailbitting experience and an excellent effort for a first time author. Great job young man. Looking forward to the next one.
