Only water cooling is better than this HSF,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: THERMALRIGHT U120E-1366-RT U120E + FAN +FAN HOLDER FOR INTEL SOCKET 1366 - REV.C (Personal Computers)
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme 1366 RT is the same old great TRUE heatsink with extra components, the 1366 Bracket and 1600RPM fan. Using this HSF my i7 920 overclocked to 160*21 3.36 GHz with Intel Boost enabled the temp is around 69-71 at MAX load (Prime95 after 1 hour); this is down from 86-88 using Intel stock cooler. I was able to push my CPU to 200*19 3.8 GHz CPU with core voltage 1.35 - Uncore voltage 1.35 - PLL voltage 1.9, my temp went to 85 but was stable for a complete day. I didn't want to fry my CPU so I went back to 3.36 GHz, no need for more for now :)The install process was very simple; I didn't even need to look to the guide. One note in the end, if you want to buy this HSF take a care look at the prices around, seems few Featured Merchants overpriced this item.

The Thermalright Ultra-Extreme 120 (AKA TRUE120) is currently the reference standard for air cooling CPUs. If you read reviews on heatsinks most of them compare against the TRUE. There are several versions of this classic but all are pretty much the same - the Rev C. has a few improvements on the fins and heat pipes and is the most recent version. This model is specifically for the Intel i7 series and includes a fan. Other versions don't include the fan or have mounting kits for other processors. Since this one does not have parts to mount on other CPUs like AMD models, etc. the price tends to be a couple of bucks lower since there is only 1 mounting kit. The prices on these things varies a lot, so do your shopping. One note, this thing is TALL so make sure your case is wide enough. Some motherboards might have clearance issues with memory, I have an ASUS P6TD which does not have any issues due to the way memory is oriented.

This heatsink is available everywhere for around $60-$65. You could buy three of them for what Amazon is charging.
