Book Description

Do you want the most complete Thomas Paine collection, with ALL of his amazing works and letters?

Including hard to come by rarities?

PLUS, do you want a Biography of Paine’s unbelievably intriguing life?

Then you want this all inclusive edition from 'Everlasting Flames Publishing' - designed just for you.

Thomas Paine is known as one of the Fathers of the American Revolution. His landmark work, ‘Common Sense’, is known as the major inspiration for the ‘Declaration of Independence’, and his ‘Crisis’ pamphlet series was a favourite of George Washington to read out loud to inspire his troops at Valley Forge.

Paine’s work is passionate, radical, yet accessible; covering his strong beliefs in Independence, Personal Liberty, Politics, Religion and Government. Hugely successful and inspiring strong polarisation in their times, they are still must-reads today, still highly debated and revered.

In this irresistible collection you get a full set of this amazing work.

*COMMON SENSE - the famous work that inspired the American colonists with a demand and call for freedom from British rule.

Also notable, that when adjusted for the population size of 1776, ‘Common Sense’ has the largest sales and circulation of any book in American history.

*THE AMERICAN CRISIS - a series of pamphlets published from 1776 to 1783 written to motivate the Troops during the revolution, to spur them to victory. The language is powerful and emotional, and reflects Paine's liberal philosophies.

The first lines are the famous: “These are times that try men’s souls.”

*THE RIGHTS OF MAN (PART I and PART II) – a radical set of books that argues that political revolution is required when a government does not safeguard its people.

*THE AGE OF REASON (PART I and PART II) - a deistic work, about institutionalized religion, and Paine’s strong views concerning it.

*LETTERS and MISCELLANEOUS WRITINGS – A FULL SET of Paine’s must-read letters and assorted short works from Paine, Including his famous ‘LETTER TO GEORGE WASHINGTON’ and his last work ‘AGRAGIAN JUSTICE’

In addition, you get Free Special Bonuses:

*THOMAS PAINE, BIOGRAPHY – A fascinating 10 page biography, detailing Paine’s unbelievable, often sad, and often controversial life.

*Works presented as far as possible in original publication date order so you can follow Paine’s growth as a writer and philosopher

*Easy TABLE OF CONTENTS so you can easily jump to any book, chapter or letter in the collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never so much for so little!! December 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Insanely priced at only $ .99 for the Kindle, but perhaps in the spirit of Paine's goal of providing the lowest prices possible(so more would have access to his writings), one quickly becomes aware how a great man has been vilified merely because he posed a threat to the "loving" religious establishment. Just as "virtue" may be its own reward (as it is rarely rewarded in kind), perhaps "honesty" comes with even a greater price (as it did for him) when it imposes "inconvenient truths" for the deeply superficial religious crowd. (Not all fit that description.)Deism apparently is their unpardonable sin, and the fact that he was such a "pain" to the unscrupulous everywhere means, only those reading his actual writings will cry out for vindication and a better place in history for this truly exceptional man of compassion and integrity to humanity everywhere. Never has so much cost me so little, and I recommend its purchase to everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Today September 17, 2012
By Edgar
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Mr. Paine wrote about God's gift of freedom to mankind. He also wrote about certain rights that all men have that are often withheld by kings and other government. What he wrote about a couple of hundred years ago is appropriate for today. Putting all of his works into one volume is an excellent saver of time and space. This is a worthwhile read for anyone of any beliefs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Common Scence Rocks !!!! August 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I originally downloaded this as a reference to use while reading other books. After finding it in footnotes repeatedly I thought if authors that I respected used Paine's work as the basis for great arguments then he must have been wise indeed. Thomas Paine's writing are timeless and very readable. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to know how our Founding Fathers truly felt about this Nation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where Did We Go Wrong? December 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Easy to read and understand. I can now know why Thomas Paine was a man respected in his own time and in ours. If you want to read about how democracy should work, read this book. I'm sure he would be appalled at his country now.

It is handy to have all of have all of Paines pieces in one place, but MUCH editing is needed just to know where you are. It is chaotic at times.

His Common Sense writings are amazing. He knew how to analyze a situation and motivate people to respond to it. He writing on the French Revelation was not as interesting to me.

The funny thing is that if Mr. Paine were writing this today, he would be on every terrorist watchlist on the planet.

But he wrote this over 200 years ago. Read more
