Originally bought this for a co-worker who collects Marvel-related toys and comics. Everyone was having so much fun with it in the office we almost shot a dude's eye out. A lady in the office screamed in terror.

I purchased this for my wife for the Thor movie and later for halloween. She loves it. I was surprised a bit by it, as it can be used to hit things w/o hurting them and the sound effects are excellent. A worthwhile toy for the adult fan.

I bought this for my two little boys, ages five and four, and they absolutely love it. I'm not really much for any sort of violent toys (like gun, etc...), but this toy is great. The soft-ish rubber that the head of the hammer is made of is great for keeping kids from getting hurt. It's not cheap like foam, though. My boys really like this.

My son (6), who isn't all that aggressive ended up shooting me in the eye with the rubber dart about 90 minutes after we came home from the store. Thankfully it was me and not my four year old. It hurt, it hurt bad. The hammer is awesome, durable and fun, but if it is for little kids, I would remove the dart.

I ordered two of these hammers at the same time from the same seller. They were received at the same time in the same box. One was a 2012 model silver hammer, (as described). The other was a black 2011 model. We didn't order it that way but that is how it arrived.

The 2012 model worked well and we are satisfied.

However, the 2011 model came not working. The "lightening" would fire but the electronics did not work at all. I changed the batteries and it still would not function.

I contacted the seller and I got no response. I posted seller feedback and it was deleted with no option to repost. I am disappointed that I received an old item that did not work but I am more disturbed that the seller did not reposed to my concerns. When I checked seller feedback for this seller I noticed that many complaints were crossed out by Amazon who said that the problem was their responsibility because they fulfill the product. That makes the seller feedback rating inaccurate. Amazon may be responsible for shipping but the seller is responsible for marketing the appropriate product and insuring that it functions properly. Amazon and the seller have failed on this transaction.

The sound on this hammer stopped working the same day it arrived :( it does still shoot however but a little disappointed!

This Mjolnir replica is very good. It is (or near to) real-size. I'm almost 6 foot-tall and the hammer is still very, very big in my hands. The thundering sounds are also very convincing. The shooting dart intentds to emulate the lightning Thor can cast through the hammer, but I believe it wasn't all necessary. The thing that bothered me the most was - the hammerhead is BLACK, not grey or silverish. I wouldn't understand why would they make a toy this great but black.

My young boys love dressing up as superheroes. We have a hug collection of costumes, capes, masks, etc.

There was a plain Thor hammer at Target and Walmart, but I looked it up on Amazon just in case for a better pricing reason.

I'm glad I did, because this product actually makes lightning noise AND lights up, totally cool! Yes, the little soft blue target thing shoots out, but that isn't a big deal to me since things like that eventually get broken or lost. We all like it for the noise and light.

Yay for Thor hammer!
