Jacobs is probably right,
By frodsham@central.murdoch.edu.au (Perth, Western Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The THREAT: THE SECRET AGENDA WHAT THE ALIENS REALLY WANT AND HOW THEY PLAN TO GET IT (Hardcover)
Dr Jacobs has written a profoundly disturbing work. Based on over thirty years of careful, academic research and over seven hundred hypnotic inductions with purported abductees, 'The Threat' is a book that must be taken seriously. Given the author's careful methodology, it is impossible for us to dismiss the hundreds of memories he elicited under hypnosis as mere confabulations. His careful discussion of the false memory syndrome points out that: 1. Abductees remember recent experiences, not just childhood events. 2 Abductees often have indirect corroboration of events. 3.Abductees frequently recall events without the aid of a hypnotist. 4.Abductees are often found to be physically missing during the reported abduction. 5. About twenty percent of abductions include two or more people who see each other during the event. 6. Unlike victims of FMS, abductees seldom experience disintegration of their personal lives after they become aware of what has occurred. We must therefore conclude that most elicited memories of abductions correspond to real events. Hence about two percent of the world's population is taking an involuntary part in a vast alien breeding program, designed to produce alien-human hybrids, which is now close to completion. These hybrids, Dr Jacobs argues cogently, are destined to replace us in the very near future. While some of the abductees themselves may be kept, like zoo animals, to provide breeding stock, the rest of humanity would appear to be completely dispensable. This scenario, closer to the TV series 'V' than to 'Independence Day' is one which few Ufologists have been willing to consider seriously, because of its terrifying nature, though my own research also drove me to this conclusion some years ago. Given that we have no defenses against the aliens, this book might well have been entitled 'The End of Humanity'. It is safe to say, unfortunately, that cognitiive dissonance will prevent all but a handful of us from taking Dr Jacobs' thesis seriously. 'Unconscious of their doom, the little victims play'. In spite of the ravages we have inflicted upon the planet and each other, I find this thought every bit as disquieting as this nightmarish book.

Abduction Enigma: Solved?,
By Edward E. Muller (Mexico City, MEXICO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The THREAT: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (Paperback)
Hi. I have been studying the UFO and Abduction phenomenon for about 20 years. Even though Dr. Jacobs offers a grim vision of the future, he has put more pieces of the Abduction Puzzle together than any other investigator. He has systematically divided the alien's purposes and role here on Earth and the information he brings forth is difficult to swallow, specially the part of Hybridization Programs and Interaction with Humans. If Dr. Jacobs is right, then these visitors have their own personal intentions but we mustn't forget that there are many different ET civilization that have interacted and are interacting with Humanity and not all have the same Reproductive Purposes. In general, this book helped me acquire one more piece of the ET Puzzle. Not a bad book. Dr. Jacobs has set forth an interesting theory: Genetic Manipulation of the Human Species. This review is from: The THREAT: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (Paperback)
If you read many of the UFO books, you will find that each writer has a narrow focus which makes that writer of ufology special. Many want to make the UFO's angels, messengers, demons, leprechauns, extraterrestrials, aliens, pleidians, etc. David Jacobs brings the reader through his first research where he almost began a narrow focus then to the current state of his research experience. He takes all the consistent reporting and analyzes them. He forms his theory from decades of case analyses. He did not discard portions which did not fit his theories (as many other noted Ufologists). I highly recommend this book. It gives a more complete and concise summary of mutliple decades of UFO research.

Survival of the fittest?,

This review is from: The THREAT: THE SECRET AGENDA WHAT THE ALIENS REALLY WANT AND HOW THEY PLAN TO GET IT (Hardcover)
A UFO book that doesn't hesitate to scare the reader. The Threat isn't about benevolent "space brothers" or the like, but about self-serving, secretive aliens who abduct people against their will. The aliens, according to Dr. Jacobs, are engaged in a selective breeding program to produce alien/human hybrids, hybrids that will eventually be so human-like that we won't be able to tell the difference. Further, Dr. Jacobs believes that the aliens are planning to infiltrate our society, for reasons as yet unknown, but sinister in their appearance. Hence, the title of the book.If you consider yourself a serious student of UFO-ology, then I strongly recommend this book, otherwise you're not getting the whole picture.

A MUST-READ--best book on alien abduction,
By A Customer
This review is from: The THREAT: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (Paperback)
Out of all the theories that try to make sense and explain alien abductions (and UFOs in general), none is so complete, thorough, logical, and scholarly as Jacobs'. In the beginning, he points out why the alien abduction phenomenon is clearly real and why it isn't true that the many abduction stories (all over the world) are simply made up, dreamed of, caused by hypnosis, or caused by psychological or other problems (and how they differ from false "repressed memories" which sometimes occurs under incompetent hypnosis). He later analyses the many stories and comes up with a rational theory that makes perfect sense. All the strange events and procedures the aliens perform during abductions as well as the secrecy of the phenomenon make perfect sense after you read this book. Unlike others who view the abduction phenomenon in a spiritual or religious sense and automatically assume that aliens and abductions are benevolent and are here to help or better mankind or are here from a higher spiritual realm (he explains why people believe this and how it is incorrect), he thoroughly investigates and looks at the UFO and abduction phenomenon logically, rationally and scientifically. When you put all the pieces of the puzzle together, the abductions make sense and the aliens intentions become clear. Their intentions are not benevolent, in our best interests, or to help or better mankind. Far from it, they have a dangerous and malevolent plan underway. I agree with the reviewer who said that not only should people interested in the UFO and paranormal phenomenon read it but everyone should. UFOS and the abduction phenomenon are real(for evidence for, and an overview of UFOs and aliens also read Alien Agenda) . There are just way too many stories performed by unbiased and competent hypnosis (Jacobs explains how the aliens prevent people from remembering it, at least under normal circumstances), all over the world, and sometimes even with physical evidence (not much-the aliens are very careful), such as implants, markings on the ground, strange medical evidence, body marks and bruises, persons missing for a period of time, etc. After so many abduction accounts, you'd think it would be clear that these beings are not benevolent, that they aren't spiritual beings from another dimension, that they aren't kindly "space brothers", and that "new-ageish" theories such as that is simply the result of wishful thinking. For those who say it's impossible to travel light-years from even the nearest star, well, it may be impossible for us to do it with our method of space travel , but that doesn't mean a much more technologically advanced civilization hasn't found a way to do it. Two or three centuries ago we thought it would be impossible to fly or go to the moon. I think this is the best book on alien abduction because it makes sense of it. The aliens have a reason for their secrecy, and it's not to protect us, but to hide their intentions. Read this book.

Jacobs assembles some more of the jigsaw pieces,
By A Customer
This review is from: The THREAT: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (Paperback)
Having read many different articles in numerous publications it is apparent that there are many pieces to this immense jigsaw puzzle we refer to as Alien visitation. It can surely be no accident that cultural differences amongst the population on this planet rarely have any bearing on the "facts" surrounding the abduction phenomenon. I was not surprised to read what Jacobs had to say, but the methodical approach he has taken in researching the phenomenon adds a great deal of credence to the subject in general. The big question is if the reality of Alien abduction is nothing more than a fantasy, then why does Jacobs' research highlight similarities in many unconnected events so well. I couldn't put it down. It's an excellent book, which presents a very plausible argument for those wishing to understand WHY THEY are here.

A book by which future research can be based,
By A Customer
This review is from: The THREAT: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (Paperback)
As having read through several decades of UFO research, I have to harbor reservations no matter how convincingly a researcher puts forth his hypothesis. Jacobs has used at least as large a sampling (if not larger) than anyone else in trying to make sense of one of the oddest facets of the UFO phenomenon. Up to this point, we have had many alien abduction accounts that appear on one hand to be comparitively understandable (Betty and Barny Hill) to unfathomable (like Betty Andreasson). Jacobs' wide sampling has allowed him to see many of the subtleties in the various accounts and how they may in fact add up to a coherent (if disturbing) picture. I must admit that, try as I might to resist his hypothesis, it was among the most fully researched I've come across. He also presented himself in a logical and cohesive manner. He anticipated certain arguments and addressed them. My only reservation is that (like others before him) he might have come across areas of the abduction phenomenon that he couldn't make sense of, or didn't fit into his overall picture and thus disregarded them. If so, he might be just the next step in trying to explain this seemingly unexplainable curiosity. However, the fact remains that this is a well researched and well presented piece and will stand as a milestone by which other researchers and investigators can get us close to solving this oddity.

Mandatory Reading for Everyone,

This review is from: The THREAT: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (Paperback)
David Jacobs in his book "The Threat" is the first author to uncover the aliens ultimate objectives and systematic plan in achieving them. This is a must read not only for UFO researchers, but for every person on earth. Jacobs is a talented and meticulous researcher (and more importantly qualified/unbiased hypnotist) who pieces together the data from abductees about the ET's objectives. Another good book about UFO's/Aliens is by Linda Moulton Howe "High Strangeness".

A must read,
By Nick (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The THREAT: Revealing the Secret Alien Agenda (Paperback)
I read most books on the abduction phenomenon, and this one is really staggering.I though a lot about all this, and theories in astrobiology and evolution, and I woudn't be surprised if he was right. Why do we still wonder whether the aliens are benevolent or not? How come it has not become obvious, after thousands of cases studied, and thousands of hypnotic regressions? Budd Hopkins, who has been investigating abductions for 25 years, who has worked with over 800 abductees and performed well over 1000 regressions, still does not see any evidence that the aliens are benevolent. Why don't the aliens make it more clear that they are here to help us? at least from time to time. The theories expressed in "The Threat" definitely make sense. The idea that the aliens are here to help seems to be just wishfull thinking in the light of the research that has been done so far. A full review of the book by Hopkins would be very usefull I think, to confirm or infirm each of the details Jacobs puts forward.

Colonization?,

This review is from: The THREAT: THE SECRET AGENDA WHAT THE ALIENS REALLY WANT AND HOW THEY PLAN TO GET IT (Hardcover)
Did not the Spanish Conquistadors invade and inhabit new lands around the world by "intermarrying" with the local populace thereby creating a hybrid? Obvious examples are current day Mexicans and Filipinos. Does not the coming together of two completely separate and formerly-isolated genes produce an offspring of a stouter and more viable variety to combat threats (mostly microscopic) within its environment? There seems to me to be two ways to conquer: vanquish or assimilate. Which one do the aliens seem to be doing? |
