What an amazing book. I first read it about 18 years ago and have read it several times since then. It is a must read for anyone who likes exotic reading. It takes you to many places around the world. Although it is sexually explicit I found it to be a very exciting book about the relationships of three women and how all their stories weave around each other. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a book that is hard to put down.

I bought Three Rivers for 5 cents at a garage sale when I was 13. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I still have this book, but only because it's too great to throw out. It's literary porn and darn entertaining at that.When I say great I don't mean Pulitzer Prize winning, I mean humorous, smutty, sex-atleast-once-every-three-pages, over the top ridiculous. If you find this book, good. If you don't, don't sweat it.

I was told about this book from a friend. Once I started reading it I totally understood why she had not forgot the book within the last 15 years. The writing and descriptions of the scenes makes you feel like you are there. You have to read it to experience the profound energy that is shared throughout the book and with in the relationship of each of the characters.

It takes you back to a time when sexual freedom was just that "freedom" and the relationship of family and commitment is found within the boundaries that each of the characters holds as their own.

If you love exotic love books you have to read this one.
