Great story
I live in Japan. The story is translated to Japanese and is in my daughter's Japanese language textbook, and I really wanted to read the original text in English. I could only find it here, and I could receive it quicker than I expected. It is always a pleasure to read translated stories in original text.

Perpetuating stereotypes and low standards
If the goal is teaching that young African American children should not reach any higher than the lowest common educational denominator, this book meets that goal.
