I use these for the patio. Good undistorted bass and clear mid and high end. Excellent outdoor speaker. I pipe in Sirius, BB King Blues through an old Crown DC 300 (you need power for these speakers)and they rock

TIC ASP-12 ARCHITECTURAL SERIES 120-WATTS PATIO SPEAKER, BLACK I hung these from my vaulted ceiling in my living room, they are my B speakers to cmpliment my Array twealths which are serious. What a great combination. They are very well made and the brackets worked so nice fom the beams allowing me to angle them down at the position I wanted. I would recordmend these also to be on there own or 2 pairs of these together Im sure would be great also. And the price is right!

These are great! Have many sets being used in different places. Some outside, some inside and some connected via a 70v line for use as PA speakers.
The mounting brackets are strong and simple to install and the speakers sound great for the price.

Update 7/4/2010: This was a great purchase. I'm still pretty surprised how well they sound. Don't let the low price mislead you. They are well built and look pretty good mouinted outside.


Don't get fooled into paying hundreds more...these sound great. Note that these speakers are weatherproof..not just weather resistant.

If you spend money on "higher end" speakers for your outside project you are wasting your money. These are amazing and are truly weather proof. Ive had mine for almost a year now. I waited to write this review to see how they worked. Oklahoma weather for 1 year and these still sound brand new and are very very clear. I have all Definitive Technologies speakers in my house so I know good speakers. These are good speakers.

I bought 2 sets of these speakers for my outside patio and lower hot tub deck. I liked the speakers so much that I purchased another set for my garage. They sound great in summer and in our 0-degree winter conditions. After 2 years of flawless service a recent summer lighting strike cooked 1 pair of speakers and my stereo. So, I just purchased another replacement set of the same speakers and didn't even look at others products. A great value with good/great sound.
