Was a bit worried due to a lack of recent reviews, but took a chance...and I'm glad I did. Not only does the color (canyon) of the speakers match my outside perfect, but the sounds of the speakers are quite impressive. My setup involves running a speaker wire from an inside Pioneer receiver. After drilling a hole in the wall, I ran the wire around the perimeter of my yard (which is going to be buried, I hate wires showing) to the speakers.

The connections for which you attach the speaker wire are very sturdy and I was impressed that the bottom of the rock speaker has a notch if you were trying to lie the speaker flat. The notch would allow the speaker rock to sit flush without pinching the wire (an undocumented feature in the reviews I read). I live in Las Vegas, so I'm hoping these speakers will hold up in the heat and will keep you posted if anything changes. I did however take the advice from different reviewers and I'm using a 14 gauge speaker gauge wire which feels just right.

I have a pretty decent size backyard and I'm fortunate that the speakers are sitting on top of a 5 foot retaining wall, which I think will help with the projection of the speakers. When I bought these speakers, I had a few goals in mind. I wanted a decent sound for a decent price. I wanted a low key style speaker rock that wasn't too large but wasn't too small. I wanted something that would not have any exposed wires or marking that would give away too easy that it was an outdoor speaker. I also wanted a clean sound that not necessarily focused on bass, but rather the mid and high sounds of audio...especially so it could take on the noise of my waterfalls which are quite loud. So far, I'd have to say that ALL of my expectations have been met.

I'm also using the Apple airport express to "beam" my music from my upstairs computer to the receiver downstairs, which in turn, powers the outdoor speakers. It certainly feels very cool that I not only use my iPhone to operate the music, but adjust the volume to the outdoor speakers as well.

I have been looking for rock speakers for few months that goes with natural rock formation next to our swimming pool. I ordered 2 speakers, but I did not like them. I was pleasantly surprised that these two speakers (that were very reasonably priced) did the trick. Also, Amazon did great job shipping quickly for free...

I bought these for my father for Father's Day. These rocks are a hot commodity and hard to find. These are amazingly priced and look like real stone. My father set it up in his backyard and they sound great! Nothing to complain about. I highly recommend this product. I accidentally hit the 1-day delivery so they did end up costing a fortune, so beware of that tricking button! :)

Recieved these speakers last week, and they work great! They match the stone path to the Hot tub and proved great sound. Also bought the TIC AMP to power them.

Great clear sound for my patio. As already stated, the bass is lacking. Great for the price. They blend in better than our old rock speakers, too.

I preface this by saying that I suspect these speakers don't have as much "kick" in my backyard as I'd like due to the fact that I'm doing a 100' cable run to where they are located in the backyard. I use them with my Sonos system combined with a Pyle stereo speaker selector. My only complaint is I have to run at a higher volume to get real punch but this may be due to the longer run of cable or my configuration. That said, they were easy to install, seem to have a very solid seal around speaker connections and look exactly the color as in the photos.

Actually when I purchased these thought I was buying two @ $98 each, come to find out $98 a pair.
I expected to use a sub woofer with these to accent bass.
They blew me away, running them off an old Philips receiver I took out of service years ago. Awesome sound, nice canyon color.

Pros:
-Great price for two speakers.
-Descent sound. Good highs and descent base.
-Looks natural.
-Well made.
Cons:
-Not good for deep base.
-Either it was packed bad or UPS smushed the box. Thankfully, still worked.

First of all, understand that I wanted rock speakers and my wife didn't. She said she didn't want any "fake" plastic junk in our pool landscape. I like them and ordered them anyway. They came in very quickly and I figured I could "hide" them well enough that she wouldn't notice. Wrong! She came around the corner just as I was hooking them up. The good news is that she "doesn't mind" them. Now that took a lot for her to say. These "canyon" speakers are very good looking and realistic. The best news is that they sound fantastic. I was a little concerned that I might not get adequate bass from these relatively small rock speakers but I am very impressed. Good sound with nice adequate bass. I wanted 4 speakers and didn't want to stretch the budget to get 4 of these so I teamed these up with a pair of OSD Audio RX540 Compact Rock Speakers (grey). I figured I couldn't go wrong for just an extra 50 bucks. I was right. Those also sound fine, especially with teamed up with these TIC Canyon speakers. I really like the way 4 speakers fill the pool space with nice stereo sound. In retrospect I think I would go ahead and spend the extra and get 4 of the canyon ones. They do have a deeper richer sound.
Don't hesitate. Buy these speakers. They are a real bargain!

I was looking for something that would have decent sound and easy to install for outdoors. Traditional speakers would have had to been mounted to wall but all I had to do with these was put them on the ground. The packing to the item from the manufacturer sucks. Had some chips in the "rock" but fortunately had some similarly colored caulk to fix it. Pretty good design of sealing off the speaker cable attachments from rain, dust, etc. The sound is very decent, great for the price. Now just gotta wait and see how it holds up to the Vegas heat.
