AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!, November 1, 2004
Forget what the little punker kids say, they're too "Punk" to like anything anyway, They want cookie-cutter psychobilly, this is not it, I'm a huge fan of rockabilly music, as well as punk rock, though I'm not fooled by a typical punk band that throws a stand up bass in to the mix and tries to call themselves "PSYCHOBILLY" I don't buy that stuff. This album on the other hand is great from start to finish, if you like Tiger Army..........GET IT!, if you've never heard Tiger Army..........GET IT, I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you like great music then buy this NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. PRELUDE: DEATH OF A TIGER 3/5: Kind of a waste of a track, its not bad but they should've just combined it with track 2.
2. GHOST TIGERS RISE 5/5: This is another great intro/instrumental song.
3. WANDER ALONE 5/5: Really good song, up-beat, cool riffs, great vocals, great chorus, good rockabilly feel to it.
4. SANTA CARLA TWILIGHT 5/5: A little mellower, still real good, great little instrumental break in the middle.
5. GHOSTFIRE 6/5: This is one of Tiger Armys best songs, got a real 50's Rockabilly feel to it, which is great, music rocks, Nick 13 vocals are at his best.
6. ROSE OF THE DEVILS GARDEN 5/5: One of my favorites, a little slower, but up-beat at the same time, very melodic, again Nicks vocals are at his best.
7. ATOMIC 5/5: one of the more up-beat songs on the album, all around solid song.
8. WHAT HAPPENS? 5/5: again a solid song all around, very cool guitar riffs, good chorus.
9. THROUGH THE DARKNESS 6/5: This song is totally 50's, and I love it, great vocals, everything about it is good.
10. THE LONG ROAD 5/5: This is the country song on the album (just like track 10 on the last album) its got a little different feel than the other "country" songs though, but equally as good, Tiger Army does excellent country songs, I love em all, this song has great pedal steel work and is all around a great song.
11. CALLING 6/5: Right now its my favorite on the album, it has great guitar work and a good rockabilly beat, and the chorus is amazing.
12. SWIFT SILENT DEADLY 3/5: The weakest song on the album, not bad at all though, its the fastest song, and the music is right on, but I don't like the vocal effect on the whole song, (much like that on "werecat") it just sounds repetive, but its still good enough to listen to everytime.
13. SEA OF FIRE 5/5: Good album closer, again it has a real rockabilly feel to it, so of course I like it. I think its Tiger armys longest song too, its a little over 5 minutes, but hey its good.
This album is a lot more "Rockabilly" then "Psychobilly", and I Love every minute of it. Forget all of that "Oh its not PSYCHO enough" FORGET IT! it rocks, if you want run of the mill psychobilly then go listen to another band, these guys have style and this is definetly my favorite album of 2004.

Through The Darkness..., July 29, 2005
Tiger Army developed their own psychobilly. They call it American Psychobilly. I became a fan when I heard the first album. God, i was impressed. And with every album my love for this band was bigger or should I say it is.
Nick 13 is a goddamn great lyricsist, singer and for sure not a bad composer.
I was waiting for that album and when I first heard it it was like...this is it. Do you need anything more. Bass is slapping more than on previous releases, here is not much of additional instruments or backing vocals. But it sounds great and pure.
Of course you'll hear a slide guitar in one song (The Long Road). The formula is the same but they sound different. Maybe even more sad and romantic (Through the Darkness, Calling).
This is a masterpiece.
