Great Little Grill !!!,
By
This review is from: TIGER KXB-A15U Indoor Electric Grill
I just tried this little grill out for dinner, and I am pleasantly surprised! It surpassed my expectations. It's not a large grill, the cooking surface is 13 x 11 inches, and a third of that area is a flat griddle, but I found it to be adequate for my needs. I was able to cook a Miso-ginger sauce salmon filet with grilled zucchini, onions, and baby portabellos for three people. Just a bit smaller than my stove top grill, and much much easier to cook on.
Temp ranges from 190 to 460 degrees. It took about 5 minutes to heat up enough to sizzle when I put on the salmon. I did prespray with Pam, and had no problems with anything sticking. I also had placed a cup of water in the drip tray. It didn't smoke, and I was able to used it on the kitchen table without a vent. The whole cooking surface was evenly hot, and I was able to add some tofu on the griddle side as well. It was fun to sit at the table with my two daughters. I gave them some chopsticks and we visited, and turned the veggies together. In 20 minutes, we had a nice dinner, completed with brown rice. Everything had lovely grill marks, and was so yummy! Clean up was crazy easy. I just put the cooled grill into the sink, careful not to put the cord receptacle side into the water or allow it to get wet. It washed off easily with a sponge and soapy water. The drip pan was easy to wash out too. The bottom of the grill is no stick as well. Tommorrow I'm trying veggie burgers. It'll be big enough to hold 4 good size patties, and I like the flat griddle surface on the side. I'll be warming buns on it.
