5.0 out of 5 stars He's definitly 'JUSTIFIED', March 2, 2003

This review is from: Justified (Audio CD)
What can I say? Justin Timberlake's most anticipated album of 2002 is definitly one worth the wait. The musical content is remarkable. Every song tells a story, that you just can't help but dance to. Some songs even make you cry!. Not many people can go from pop to urban music. But Justin Timberlake definitly did an amazing job. This is one of very few albums that you don't have to keep pressing the "next" button. You actually like every song. The producers in the album did a great job. I tip my hat off to Timberland, The Neptunes, and Brian McKnight. They have done Justin Justice. Which makes him TOTALLY 'JUSTIFIED'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, December 3, 2002

The Edition of the CD that came out in the UK, also had "Worthy Of" and I would have to admit that this album is absolutely great. Justin makes the transition from group member to solo star effortlessly! The album, in some respects, still maintains the NSYNC elements but there is still 99% just Justin. This album, is definitely worth a listen, by men and women, old and young! Justin manages to transcend from pop to R&B with ease which is a great combination.

5.0 out of 5 stars Justin Overpoweringly Takes The Music By Storm!, December 15, 2007
This review is from: Justified (Audio CD)
Although Justin Timberlake may take time off to make movies truth be told that music is his "true" passion! This Japan Import 14-track album elicits an array of emotions that blend together nicely with the music, singing, and production displaying influences from Timbaland''s drums, Pharrell''s rhythmic styles, and well the list goes on. The sound is a mix of pop, R&B, hip-hop, Latin hints, and mellow romantic vibes. The lyrics are included, the obi-strip, heavy thick jewel case, poster, and the 1 bonus song: "'Worthy Of'".

The tracks flow with claps, chirpy beats, rhythmic tempos, and much catchy hooks. My favorite track has to be "'Right For Me"' [Produced by Timbaland] for it's beats, hooks, and heavy drums and frequent energetic Spanish vibes. Stand-out tracks include the disco sounding '"Rock Your Body"', the sticky infectious '"Like I Love You"', the Latin flavored covered "'Señorita"' and the all too favorite hit and break-up song, "'Cry Me A River"'.

The bonus track is what seals the album and makes this Japan Import worth the entire buy alone. The song, "'Worthy Of"' is surprise since it is not listed on the back or lyrical booklet and has a quite different Justin. It's a very warm song filled with romance, R&B, and very touching lyrics. His voice is highlighted to repeatedly emphasize, "'Am I good enough for you'?"

'"Never Again"' displays very hurt feelings that may never mend. His singing hits deep notes at times showcasing a much-touched emotional Justin. When he elevates his vocals, '"You didn't say you were sorry, I don't understand'/My heart may never mend and you'll never get to love me"' display singing that hits the notes just right, as well as reach the listener, and emphasize, '"You''ll never get to love me again"' in a very somber, heart-breaking, anguishing yet empowering way. The piano, instruments, and overall effects with singing are smashing, striking, and deep felt.

The beauty of this album, aside the Import bonus materials, is the mysterious seductive styles combined with the music that create an aura of wanting more and more! There are no explicit, raw, and overtly sexual over tones nor tasteless lyrics. Class is maintained throughout along fabulous producers thus making listeners find enjoyment in a very positive, exciting, and even spiritual way. This is definitely recommendable for already fans, and lovers of pop and blends of R&B.

For track by track description I recommend the book titled, Justin Timberlake: Unauthorised
