Great collection piece ... Interesting account of Mother Teresa's life

I found this book to be a wonderful way to capture an insider's thoughts to Mother Teresa's life as it is told by several people who knew her. It also includes correspondence by Mother Teresa herself. There are many photos and it's a quick read...kind of whets your appetite to want to learn more about this extraordinary woman if you haven't already. The author references many writers who have published works about Mother Teresa's struggles, life and work.

I must admit that I originally picked this up in magazine format because I believed "if you want to become like someone, get to know them." In my arrogance I picked up this book. I did not expect it to cause me to re-think my Western, materialistic, selfish, self-centered life. She was a remarkable, humble, compassionate lady who transformed because she focused, not on the entire world, but on the needs of the one. Ek. Ek. Ek. One, one, one. I am different because of this simple book.

Mother Teresa was and always will be a person I admired and loved. This book has some great pictures of Mother Teresa throughout her life, with some great stories. This woman was such a whirlwind and yet seemed to have time to stop to really care for the most oppressed and give them as much time as they needed. This pictoral biography is well crafted as can be imagined since it was made by Time/Life books. This is a must read for anyone who loved Mother Teresa and wants to know more about her life.
