The Pacesetters series is high interest reading for those who have literacy problems, or who just have a reluctance to read. The reading level for these books is between 2 and 3. Many of these books are mentioned in reference material concerning High/Low materials.

The Time Trap
I read about a book called The Time Trap. It was a very good book. It was about a time traveler named Jeff. He was traveling back in time to planet x-12. When the insects from earth went over to planet x-12 and got very sick. Jeff and his partner the one got sick and had to go back to earth. Jeff had to wait for a new partner. Then Jeff saw this light moving and he new that was his new partner. He's new partner was a girl named Maria. She wasn't beautiful but she was pretty. While they were back in time They had to take some pictures. They saw some strange animals and they had to see what it was like in the past in planet x-12

The TimeTrap

The main idea is in this book is that there kids Jeff and Maria are the only ones that can take a blast in the past .they only can't see it they can go to the past. Like it says they can see the people and even hear them but the aliens can't see them. The kids can go back in time 300 hundred years .is that amazing or what cause I beat people in these years would like to go in the past but we can't .but of course this is a fiction book talking about the plant x 12.like Maria says that she is scared of the past but then she gets used to it cause then she just starts to take pictures & asking questions. But after words the things start to get complicated for them because all the insects start to lunch at them. So Jeff & Maria don't have any other thing to do but attack the insects and then they hurt them and then they tried to help them but they did not have any other thing but to run because all the other insects were chasing them. But all of a sudden thy came back to their time and started to think .Should we go back and try to help the insects that we hurt so they came to a agreement and they took the last blat to the past .To show that the insects are glad that they helped them they became friends and walked together back to the base.
