Shipped fast and arrived undamaged. Adds a more rifle aspect to the marker and overall sleekness. Can also add a sling if wanted. If you want something other than an out of the box 98, this isn't a bad upgrade but it is also available in a kit (sight rail and barrel and foregrip).

this stock is awesome. in terms of function, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. The feel and build are awesome, and it complement the marker nicely.

however, it is worth mentioning that it did not fit into my tippmann without a fight. there were two problems, both of which were easy fixes.

the first problem was that the cocking spring did not fit into the precut hole in the stock. solution: take the largest allen key that comes with the gun, and use it as a drill bit to drill the hole larger. worked surprisingly well.

the second problem was that the two notches that hold the stock in the gun did not fit perfectly. solution: press the stock into the gun the way it should and rotate it, using the metal hide of the gun to rub away the extra plastic. makes for a perfect fit.

once i accomplished both of these, the stock functioned perfectly.

because the fixes were so easy, and the product is so excellent, i didnt see the need to dock it any stars.

Great stock, but don't buy if you have the ACT version marker. There is an extra hole in the 98's stock butt cap for the ACT spring mechanism and this stock didn't have it. I drilled my own hole and it works fine, but it was a little difficult getting the right spot and right depth hole. For non-ACT this should be fine.

I ordered this product on saturday and was told that it was to come on the following thursday. I ended up getting it on tuesday! I opened the box that it came in and this stock has weight to it, this is not a cheap stock it is very durable. When I installed it it was fairly easy to do, like other reveiws have stated, I had to carve the hole on the front of the stock out to make it a little larger for the spring to fit in. Also if you are worried about a CO2 tank not fitting below the stock, do not worry i have a Tippmann 98 Platinum and a 20 oz CO2 tank fit below the stock even when collapsed. Overall this stock is awesome.

I have a 98 custom act and its perfect for it i don't even have to make the hole for the top spring its already has it
it works amazing keeps ya nice and steady and its a plus ya can make it any size ya want cause in paint ball sometime ya must have it short cause your in and small spot it a all around nice stock thanks so much

I purchased this item for my son's paintball gun. He is very pleased with this item.

I received this product several weeks ago and used it for the first time yesterday. My experience with the product was mixed (mostly negative), and I wish to share my thoughts of the product with other people considering this stock.

Installation:
WARNING: Other posts made mention of the fact that this stock did not perfectly fit their gun and needed minor modifications. This is TRUE depending on the model and year of your gun. My gun is the previous generation Tippmann 98 custom ACT, and it did require a drill to open up one of the spring holes. It was a simple process and required all of 2 minutes, but it would have been avoided had the product description specified the exact model/year of applicable guns.

Aesthetics:
It's an attractive stock and makes the gun look very professional. No complaints here.

Sliding stock:
The stock slides back and forth easily and has what appears to be a very durable mechanism. Neat design.

Use:
Before I went to the field, I noticed that I had trouble using the iron sights without a mask. When I was on the field, the mask completely prevented me from using the sights. I realize not everyone uses iron sights, but for me, the sights were one of the biggest selling points of the Tippmann 98. For the remainder of the day, I retracted the stock to its smallest setting (where my shoulder wasn't even touching the stock) so that I could use the iron sights again. I plan on removing the stock before my next game.

Conclusion:
Check your model/year of your gun to make sure you won't have to modify the stock. Aesthetically pleasing and sliding mechanism works great. Stock makes use of the iron sights impossible. I'm largely disappointed with the product and plan to sell it or give it away.

I would hope that people read this more than I did... I saw the price, saw the many people who seemed to like this gun, and that was all. Unfortunately, I did not read enough to see the amount of people who also had the same issues with this stock that I did. The stock does not FIT. Period. You should not have to cut it or sandpaper it in order for it to work. I would advise people not to buy this.

not what you think it is when you get it the advertising is also false i have a tippman pro marker and it dosent fit

I was very impressed with the build quality of this stock, and it was relatively straightforward to install. However, it makes it impossible to aim while wearing the standard paintball facemask, your head has to be turned nearly sideways. works great without a facemask, but then you obviously wouldn't be playing paintball without one!! I've since removed it from my marker so I can aim. Pretty disappointed when I realized this stock would preclude aiming, because otherwise it's pretty sweet!
