About Tippmann
Originally a manufacturer of collectible, half-scale replica machine guns, the family-owned Tippmann entered the paintball industry in 1986 when gun law changes forced them to re-evaluate their business. At the time, the Tippmanns were afraid that paintball was just a passing fad that would have as much staying power as the hula hoop. But it seemed like a natural transition for the company, as Tippmann knew how to make guns, and paintball markers shared the same basic principles as the machine guns it was already manufacturing. Thinking the sport would never last, Tippmann entered the paintball industry with one goal: to make high-performance, durable products that people could afford. Because of the company's experience in the gun industry, its products were light years ahead of the competition. Tippmann built the very first semi-automatic and fully automatic paintball markers, and the sport never slowed down. Tippmann went from having eight employees in 1986 to 120 today, with offices in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

From previous reviews about this particular package I knew I was going to be in for a little time assembling this. Since I do know how to mod A-5's I wasn't overly concerned. It took me a little time, but once I was done I was reasonably pleased with the outcome. However, I will say this; there needs to be a "Some Assembly Required" on this listing. There were some differences here, instead of a 16 inch barrel, I received a 14 inch. The case supplied in this package is **NOT** big enough to hold the finished product. It's great for my backup gun and/or a stock Tippmann A-5, but it's shown annoying for previous reviewers. Pods are of good quality, but the tank sling seems to be more geared for a N2/compressed air tank instead of a standard CO2. It's an okay package, looks great once completed.
Addendum: The stock didn't even last a round before breaking, and the shroud fell off in the middle of the next. I'm not pleased at this. I was able to modify the barrel assembly to keep it on, but...yeah. Save for the gun, I advise staying the hell away from this-and I don't advise buying from this seller. They just don't seem to care.

Although Tippman makes a quality gun for the price, this was a complete disaster. I ordered this kit for my son who is 14. it came with no assembly instructions. Took us about 2 hours to assemble. Filling the CO2 Tank for 6 bucks we found the unit to be defective and it wasted a complete co2 tank. Then when it was returned I was charged a rediculous restocking fee becuase the item had been opened. Cost me $40.00 in shipping to and from amazon.com. I would only purchase from my local sportingoods store. It may cost a few dollars more but I now no that in the long run would have been much cheeper. The mask is not very good and doesn't work if you wear glasses. The parts/upgrades are bulkey and cumbersome (once you acctualy figure out how they go together) and they leak co2. This item is not for begginers. This item will cost you money in the long run. How will you know if the item is deffective until it is assembled? Goodluck with your return.POS

Hello i recently purchased this marker. i got the 2 day shipping with amazon prime so the shipping was 2 days of course...well when UPS arrived i was EXCITED but when i saw that one of the parts i was missing i was like OMG...it was the part that goes from your tank to the gun i think its called the control. so i called them and they said they would returned me 67.80 so thats awesome, now when i saw the part missing i put everything back. now two days later i decided to put it together, now...what a surprise the little part of the stock were the push pins go through one of them was broken... so i called them back and said to return my item when no shipping fee and no stocking fee...i was like wtf..wait till the item arrives then wait for 3-4 days to get my cash then order the stuff again! so i just kept it the gun its self works awesome but the stock, barrel and NO FREAKEN INSTRUCTION sux super bad. oh and for those of you who wonder about the mask its fine. i would recommend for you to but the regular A-5 set no sniper se. and if u want a longer barrel well just get the 16' that comes with this crap.
