Really nice headgear, but if I had to pay the full price ($60) I'd have opted for something cheaper and non-leather that protects just as well from Combat Sports. Really nice headgear though, with solid protection for your cheeks and chin.

I finally gave in and bought my own headgear after using the gym's headgear (which smelled like they were dipped in rotten vinegar a few times).. and I can't say enough good things about this product. Really good construction, good quality leather, I have a really big head and the large size fits very well, probably could accomodate larger heads as well. Good protection.

The only downside to this headgear, is the chin piece, there's a flap that kind of extends to my neck.. and when I get hit hard, the leather flap pushes into my adams apple.. some would say, don't get hit, but I'm not that good yet.

I bought this because a friend has it and seems to like it so I tried his and went with the large size which fits well. The padding is great the fit is good, it even protects nose pretty good. But the one issue i have is the chin running into my adams apple. When i tuck my chin down it sits up against it so if someone hits me on the lower part of my face it will ram right into my throat, very uncomfortable feelings. So my only wish was that the chin strap was not as wide... or maybe I just have a short jaw, I dunno but I had to return and am going with the bar across the face.
