My order came quickly. Only problem was the codes are no longer valid when setting up new remote through TIVO setup on the TV. Had I not been able to figure out what to do, I would have been very discouraged, thinking there was something wrong with the new remote. It would be nice if they included some literature, telling the customer the setup on TIVO is no longer valid, & to go to a website to obtain the new setup codes. I gave this 5 stars because the remote works great, & the price savings is wonderful. I'll try very hard not to drop this one as often, like the old one!

I bought this remote for my Tivo HD. It works just like the "glo" white/black models. Only difference is the Select button is below the "big circle" button. I actually like that better than pressing the center of the circle on Glo remotes.

My old TiVo remote had lost the responsiveness of some of its buttons over time and much use. It was time for a replacement. This works perfectly. It is exactly as perfect as the original.

Got this remote as a replacement for my silver Humax Tivo Series Two TiVo. It looked basically the same in the picture (although I perhaps should have looked a little more carefully - see below.) I initially thought the only difference was that this remote is black and the one that came with mine was silver. Decided to take the plunge and purchase it as the other one was wearing out.

Set up was easy - only took me 5 minutes to set up the new remote using the TiVo screen options and found my working TV codes right away (note that I have an older TV, though). All buttons seem to work the same and I was very pleased until I started using it a bit. Only after I was watching a DVD did I notice that there is no "STOP" button on this new remote. On my original remote, this button is right under the "slow" button and above the number pad buttons. So, when watching a DVD or a show, you could press "stop" and go back to the previous menu. This remote has a switch that says "DVR 1-2" where the stop button used to be on my other remote. Thus, it's obviously not an exact duplicate of the one I had (note: to be fair, the picture of the remote on here clearly shows this but everything else looked so similar that I missed it). I can still hit the Tivo button at the top to "stop" the program but that takes me all the way out to the main menu which is somewhat annoying.

Pros - easy set up, fast response as opposed to my older remote, price was good and it shipped fast. Most of the functions are still the same as my old remote.
Cons - no stop button that I can find

Our original remote started to lose it's oomph, and pushing buttons didn't always work. This made us love our Tivo again - amazing how you don't notice the lack of responsiveness when it happens gradually, but to get it all back is great. The original remote lasted 5 years or so, so I think it had a well deserved retirement.

I was amazed how fast I received this remote. It works great!! It was an emergency. My old remote was acting up and I can't run my TIVO without a TIVO remote.

This is the second remote that I've ordered - The family keeps losing them. The remote is exactly what it's supposed to be - A stock, Tivo remote. I think that the only think that I'd change - and this doesn't have to do with the vendor - is that the labels on the keys wear off VERY quickly, requiring you to remember what key is what after they wear off.
Again - This product was exactly what I was looking for.

Purchased this remote to replace the one my dog chewed on after leaving him alone for too long. Functions perfectly right out of the box, already synchronized for use with my TiVo unit (don't ask me how). Easy to program through the TiVo to function as a universal remote for the TV. I considered purchasing the one with the slide-out keyboard, but since my dog has apparently developed a taste for remotes, I couldn't justify the $60 price tag. Also considered the cheaper models available, but wasn't sure if they'd function as easily right out of the box.

Arrived promptly in 2 days. Love it. We certainly needed a new one, since my husband had worn the original one out. It is the same as the original.
