If you were like me in 1990 and you drove a mustang or acamaro then you had TKA playing on your tape deck bomming through your kicker box. Z Caverichhi pants were in and you were set all I needed was my TKA and I was set!!!

One of the Top Three Best Overall CDs I Own,
By "italheartbraka" (Fresh Meadows, NY United States) - See all my reviews

If you want a cd of non stop tracks that always please your heart and mind, this is it. EVERY single song on here is good. Where else, especially today where you get a cd for one song and the other 12 or so are terrible, are you going to find a cd actually worth the money. This cd is like downloading every single good song TKA ever made and burning it onto a cd, except it is done already, making this cd legal lol. When you listen to these songs you can't help but to think of someone you dated and then broke up with over a stupid reason and wish you had back, because they strike the heart. They make you realize what to appreciate in the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Definitely buy this cd, no matter age or race or gender.

classic NY freestyle,
By Alberto "music man" (NY - London) - See all my reviews

TKA goes back way in the day when Freestyle was called Latin Hip Hop and this compilation shows what amazing high-quality productions they, with their label Tommy Boy, put out.
The first 6 of the 14 tracks on this best of all come from their debut album - amazing that their first album resulted in 6 12" singles and excellent releases with killer beats and innovative production. Their subsequent releases also include some top freestyle material (You are the one, Give your love to me, & the melancholy touching Louder than love). Please note the version of Tears may fall is not the original mix but a remix (which I find less powerful than the original). I'd recommend a release of TKA's 12" freestyle mixes of all their freestyle hits on CD - their extended mixes include some pumping hard beats and great edits

A True Collectors Item For All Freestyle Fans!,
By "paesano74" (New England) - See all my reviews

I spent a major part of my teenage years in Brooklyn, New York. It was when freestyle music was at it's peak, and groups like TKA, Stevie B and the Cover Girls were some of the ones that had us on the dance floors. TKA is the premire freestyle trio, and this CD has all the hits.If you enjoy killer beats, powerful vocals, and that Latino flare that made freestyle so popular, this is one CD that all fans should have in their libraries. It made me think about some of the best times of my adolesance, and made me realize that Brooklyn, NY will always be a part of who I am!

This is TKA's best - every song is a hit from the the days of freestyle. The best thing of TKA is a lot of their songs have individuality - they don't all sound the same. Their lyrics are strong and their beats are powerful. I think of my ex girlfriend everytime I listen to this cd for how much the lyrics make you reflect on past relationships. I wish TKA was still producing freestyle like this.

Foundation For Quality Freestyle Music,
By A Customer
This review is from: TKA - Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Any serious Freestyle fan should own this album. In my opinion, this is TKA's best album because it is a greatest hits album that contains all their best tracks. Form start to finish, this album is excellent. It offers classic Freestyle, beautiful ballads, and hard hitting dance tunes as well. TKA epitomizes the Freestyle sound, heart, and soul. From "Louder Than Love" to "Give Your Love To Me" to "Maria" to "Tears May Fall," this album offers so many classic hits. These guys are the Kings of Freestyle and this album proves it. Together with George LaMond's "Bad of the Heart" album, this album is among my top favorites. There have been so many freestyle releases since this album, but hardly any of those releases can match the quality of TKA's "Greatest Hits."

Oh - how I loved TKA back in the day!,

Now being 33yrs old, this CD brings back some serious memories. This is when dance music was at its best - freestyle. TKA was one of the best groups around back then. Most others were one or two hit wonders but this group just kept bring out more and more hits. If you like this, try K7 too - K (from TKA) left and made that CD in 1993. There are some really good hits on there too. This is a GREAT CD to work out with now too. Highly recommend to anyone, even the younger generations. My favs were some of the less popular: Don't Be Afraid and You are the One although the more popular hits: Maria, Louder then Love, Scars of Love and Tears May Fall are all excellent too.

a classic album,

now, this is what a greatest hits should be like. every single song was a hit in one way or another. i love freestyle. i grew up listening to it and it brings back a lot of priceless memories. these guys were one of a kind. i listen to many different ti=ypes of music but when im feeling meloncholy, sad or going throu a breakup i listen to freestyle. especially this cd. included here is the best break up song ballad, ever recorded, "louder than love". and their swan song, "maria"- which i beleive was their biggest crossover hit. another great tune is their duet with tony moran, " is it love?". that song was intended for tony moran's solo album. which was recorded and released but immediatly discontinued. anyway, this is a great collection of songs to have on one cd. we all have the vynil from back in the day, but they'res nothing like hearing "scars of love on quality cd. long live freestyle and tka!!!
