In video production and service you need a good and reliable character generator that is quick and easy to use and ready. Owning the 2000 was a great ride and now the 3000 is more advanced and ready. The key board ability to move allows user to relax and standoff from the system and see how it will fit your video on time and in color. I'm waiting for the next generation from Focus minds. I'm using mine with a Panasonic WJ-MX30 AND used the lay out in the WJ-MX30. Works well together.
